This drive is so, so fast. While I am not able to max out the advertised top speed of 14,800MB/s sequential read, I do get around 13,000MB/s read and write, which is still great! Windows 11 boots so quickly, and compiling software in Visual Studio on my new build takes under a minute where it used to take 4-5 minutes on my last build. This drive stays cool thanks to the Thermalright HR10 2280 PRO Black SSD Cooler I put on it, topping out at 45C under heavy load and 32C-ish under normal load. I got a great deal on the 4TB at the time and it was a great price for an excellent PCIe 5.0 drive. It's a super fast, great drive so far. I bought this being the AI price gouging began. 🤞🏼 If you don't *need* a PCIe 5.0 drive, don't buy this until the prices are back to normal. I paid around $370 for this 4TB drive around Black Friday in 2025, and that wasn't much more than a 4TB 4.0 drive at the time, so I figured I might as well opt for the fastest drive before the crazy RAM prices spilled over to SSDs too. The drive runs great, and the Samsung Magician program updated the firmware without any fuss. I've used several SSD brands, and in my experience, the Samsung drives tend to be the most reliable, and the warranty is great too. I'm using the heatsink which came with my motherboard, and it seems to fit the SSD fine, I didn't feel any weird resistances while seating the heatsink on top of the drive. Yes, the drive runs warm (peaks in the low 50s on my setup under heavy use), but I've never noticed any thermal throttling. I have this installed in the top M.2 slot on my motherboard and it's running at expected PCIe 5.0 speeds. If you have a cheap motherboard or a lower end CPU, your speeds may vary a bit. For most people, a PCIe 4.0 drive is more than adequate, and benchmarks have shown repeatedly that there's basically no gain in boot time or game loading with a 5.0 SSD, it's a vanity purchase for most folks. Los resultados de Passmark dan un score de casi 90K puntos, por encima del 99.9% de todas las pruebas realizadas en el mundo. Por fin tendré espacio suficiente para descargar todos los juegos que me plazca sin tener que sacrificar algunos. La velocidad secuencial es un poco debajo de lo advertido, pero esto es debido a la CPU que tengo instalado (265K). Tengo planeado actualizarlo por un Intel 290K en 2026. De todas formas, los Random IOPS muestran resultados bastantes buenos.

¡Una bestia del almacenamiento! Compré el Samsung 9100 Pro de 4TB para mi nueva PC con soporte PCIe 5.0 y tengo que decir: ¡el hype es merecido! Olvídate de lo que considerabas "rápido" antes. Esto es otro nivel. Velocidad: Los números que anuncian de 14,800 MB/s de lectura y 13,400 MB/s de escritura NO SON BROMA. Abrir juegos es instantáneo, renderizar videos 4K/8K se siente como si estuvieras trabajando en un disco RAM, y mover archivos gigantes es ridículamente rápido. Mi PC antes tardaba unos 5 minutos en cargar mi proyecto de Blender más grande, ¡ahora lo hace en menos de un minuto! Tecnología: Es lo más nuevo de Samsung con ese chip PCIe 5.0 y el nuevo V-NAND. En cristiano: es el Ferrari de los SSDs. Tanta velocidad requiere una buena refrigeración, eso sí. Asegúrate de que tu placa base tenga un buen disipador de calor para el M.2 o compra la versión con disipador, porque se calienta si le das caña sin parar. Capacidad: 4TB es suficiente para todo mi universo de juegos, programas y archivos de trabajo. En resumen: Si tienes una placa base moderna (Intel Z790/AMD X670) y necesitas LA MÁXIMA VELOCIDAD para trabajar profesionalmente o simplemente odias esperar, cómpralo ya. Es caro, sí, pero es la mejor inversión en velocidad que puedes hacer hoy. ¡Altamente recomendado para entusiastas y profesionales! 10/10.
