ShelterLogicGarage 16 x 40 x 16 Peak Standard Grey

Not the size advertised!
I like the shelter, but it’s advertised at 16x40x16, and what game was a 14x40x16. I sure would’ve liked the extra 2’ I thought I was getting. Assembly instructions could’ve been better, but weren’t bad. The assembly does say 14x40x16. I contacted ShelterLogic online and haven’t gotten a response. 2-star now due to poor service.

Well built! FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS!!
I was going to buy this from Amazon as the prices are about the same everywhere, even from the manufacturer, but the cost of shipping was another story. It was around $500 from both Amazon and the manufacturer and I was just about to make the purchase when I found it from another seller...same exact thing, but shipping was a flat $55. That's a no brainer on who I'm buying it from.It arrived on a pallet. I simply backed my truck up to the shipping truck and with a pallet jack, rolled the pallet into the back of my pickup where I then took it where I needed it and unloaded each box by hand.I bought this to keep my 35 Winnebago Class A RV in. I read the other reviews, where people hired guys or got a scissor lift and they couldn't do it. That's because they didn't follow the directions, PERIOD!! Even the directions say that you will have to drill some of the holes a little for perfect alignment to get the bolts through. It clearly shows you will need a punch and large hammer for centering. Three of us assembled mine in about 4-5 hours and then another hour to pull the cover on and get it cinched down and then install the bottom rails. The instructions CLEARLY indicate to read and FULLY understand the instructions before assembly and you should allow 15mintutes of assembly time per foot of length. Mine is 40' long and was assembled in about 6-7 hours. It is fairly complex but easy to do if you read, fully understand and follow the instructions!! It helps to download the .pdf instructions file and look at them on a computer with a good screen, not a smart phone.A scissor lift would be all but worthless for his type of assembly, but a huge 14' ladder a must. I will say this, hiring a bunch of guys who are not adept at building things or who's reading comprehension is poor will result in a mess. Saying those guys were good at building things is total nonsense, because they weren't. It's not the fault of the product, it's the fault of the people assembling it. This is NOT a simple assembly. The instructions must be understood and followed. When the factory puts the piece in a die to punch them out, it does leave rough edges. You will need a good hammer and a piece of 2X4 or what I used was a branch off a Maple tree as some pieces don't slide together easily, they must be tapped into position, so you must use a mallet so you don't bend the edges. There was also a complaint about that the "auger anchors included with the kit are incredible difficult to install in rocky soil- I wish they included their hammer-in anchors" That's true, those things don't work very good at all, but I fixed that by modifying them to be "pound-in" as seen in the pictures. That worked great. The eye of those must be welded up because they won't stand up to being pounded in. The wind isn't pulling those out ever unless a tornado hits. The project as a whole is a bit complex, but don't let that scare you away. You just have to find people with brains who can assemble things and follow directions.
