Fantastically Dumb.
A classic Ben Stiller, really dumb, super enjoyable movie. It starts off a little slow, and then gets better and better as it gets stupider and stupider, and by the end you will have convinced yourself the last 20 minutes are as good as any major action film n0t in the comedy genre. :)

Dumb fun. Who could ask for more in 2022?
No spoilers, don't worry. This isn't a groundbreaking movie that will redefine your view on blah blah blah. How tiresome is that? Not everything we watch has to be GoT or Breaking Bad or whatever. Sometimes, you just want to turn off your brain and enjoy life. And thus The Watch. It's not the best of Ben Stiller, or Vince V, or my boy Jonah. And so what! It's enjoyable. Have a few drinks and relax. The humor is pretty straightforward, the plot is familiar, but the characters, the actors, had fun and so will you. OK fine, have a drink or two for maximum enjoyment.Bottom line: the 21st century sucks, and 2022 hasn't proven itself to be any better, but there are still movies in this world that can deliver basic, mindless entertainment. They don't all have to be Oscar/Emmy winning whatevers! It's nice to just chill and chuckle sometimes, and this movie delivers on that front.

Review from someone conservative
So this movie is a comedy first and foremost and while it was extremely sleazy, vulgar and not really worth your time it did what it was designed to do.....make me laugh. This is completely geared for young twenty somethings who think that perversion is funny...think american pie type of stuff. But the actors do well in their roles and as ridiculously stupid as this was, it was amusing at best. Less one star for the overuse of random orgy scene and some of the jokes that were like unnecessary fillers. This would be one of those movies where the actors were bored and wanted a quick paycheck. A bit beneath these A listers but hey, everyone has bills to pay.

"The 'Burbs" does it better
If you liked this, try the much funnier "The 'Burbs" from 1989 w/ Tom Hanks, a satire of the "satanic murder cult" conspiracy insanity going around at that time like Qanon today. "The Watch" seems like rip-off of that film, only much more predictable and trying way too hard to be a "bros flick" as opposed to a chick flick. To do that, relies on stereotypes and not very comical ones: the crazily and creepily overprotective father who calls his daughter a whore, the crazy wannabe cop rejected by the force for liking guns too much (rip-off of the funnier 80s "Police Academy"), and the nebbishy, inadequate do-gooder no one really likes, including his wife. The plots are much the same--ordinary guy and his friends stumble onto evidence of a hive of homicidal beings but no one believes them and law enforcement ridicules them, they become wildly paranoid as they find out more, and then decide to tackle the situation themselves.

I like this!
Sure they had potty mouths, but it's rated R! What did you expect?! There is also 15-20 second nudity scene about halfway in and of course they talk about weed and smoking. This is a late night stoner comedy with some aci-fi action, so yeah! Aliens and crass humor. We are all adults and can handle it. If not, maybe find something else to view. Other than that, it's an easy Friday night binge after work for yourself or with friends!

Just lots of exactly what I expected! 😂😂😂😂😂
I stumbled across this comedy and I hadn’t even heard about this movie. It was a great comic relief to a bad day. I smoked a fatty and grabbed my Doritos and bean dip and the rest is history. 😃👍🏻👍🏻lots of 😂😂😂

What an adventure!
Comedy aside, this was as perfect a story as a film can get to. The most amazing thing about it was Ben Stiller did not overact in any scene. I just flat out liked it.Of course, it was sophomoric in its themes, but it didn't try and fool you. Any film that groups Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, Richard Ayoade and Ben Stiller is not going to rely on adult themes. There's going to be bad language and a plethora of jokes about genitalia throughout. The reveal midway through Act 3 was fabulous. Franks and Beans' actions were inappropriate at times but not out of character. This film stuck to its guns and never deviated from the premise. The pacing was good, and it slowed down to let you catch your breath right before it went ballistic. Mad respect.

A daft and rather weird and wonderful film at the same time
A daft and rather weird and wonderful film at the same time.. I suppose it had to be with Ben Stiller and the rest of them.. Funny nevertheless and enjoyable if your daft like me :)
