Just what I wanted so pretty

very disappointed
lamps arrived with the frames of both shades damaged. The base of the lamp is open and the glass is extremely thin and light weight. I can see these being top heavy and falling off the end tables the first time someone turned on a ceiling fan. I will have to keep looking for lamps for my family room as I quickly repackaged these after taking photos to document their condition and contacted Amazon for a return pick up. I would give them zero stars if that were possible.

About as cheesy as a $50 lamp can be.
There is no base plate, just a large poorly finished rim at the bottom of the lamp. The thin glass is painted and could be easily broken. The shade is cheap plastic and was dented as a result of poor packaging design. I guess I shouldn't ask for more at $50 in today's retail world.

Very nice, but....
...the lamp colors are pretty, quite true to the picture, but it does not have the interesting color sploth on the neck, as in the picture. It is light weight, which is nice. My only complaint is how different the color of the shade is, from the true white of the picture. It is definitely off-white. It matches my cream walls and does not match the white stripe in the lamp. I will need to buy a new shade. This makes me reluctant to buy any more lamps on line which show a bright white shade, say the shade is white, or designer white, and then send you a definite off-white shade. It would be so much better to have the description actually SAY - an off-white shade!

Disappointed in packaging.
Great lamp, but shade was damaged, one arm to shade was broke off, switch was bent, I bent switch straight and turned damaged lamp shade part towards wall. Appears not shipped in original box.
