This stuff works very well! It lasts for a couple months or more during the hot summer months.Used in AMS.Can be recharged easily in a toaster oven without concern of poisoning yourself like indicating Silica.

Perfect for drying 3D Printer filament, worth every penny! Definitely works more efficiently than silica gel/packets!

I’ve been very impressed with the Slice Engineering 2lb Activated Alumina Desiccant. It arrived quickly and the container makes it easy to pour and refill smaller holders without making a mess.Compared to orange indicating silica gel, this absorbs more moisture and seems to last longer before needing to be recharged. The tradeoff is that it does not change color, so you will want to monitor humidity levels with a hygrometer rather than relying on visual indication.I use this in 3D printed spool desiccant containers and in my AMS desiccant holders, and it has worked extremely well. Humidity stays low and filament performance has been consistent.To recharge, I dry it in my AMS HT using a high temperature safe container at full temperature for a couple of hours, and it is ready to go again. If you want a higher capacity desiccant solution for filament storage, this is a great option and I would definitely recommend it.

Substantially better than silicone dessicant. Absorbs more (don't know about the 10x) but maintains dry boxes substantially longer for 3D printing filaments.Yes it is reusable. No it doesn't change color but do some research, silicone dessicant alone isn't a heath concern but the chemicals use for the color change are very toxic. Just get a simple hydrometer and problem solved.

These keep humidity down to the single digits in my AMS2. Haven’t needed to reactivate in over a year, but I using the AMS drying feature monthly.

Great for my 3d printer AMS. Does not change color though like the other type. Work very well though.

I switched to activated alumina for my 3d printing needs and don’t regret it. Sure it’s more expensive than silica per pound, but this stuff works really well, and I find it keeps moisture levels lower for a lot longer than silica did. There’s no color change to indicate it’s time to dry it out, but I’m running a hydrometer for that. I don’t have to worry about the toxicity of the chemical makeup when cooking off the moisture to recharge like I did with silica. I ended up buying a second 2lb bottle, as one contained a little more than what fills up all the dry pods in my BambuLab AMS + 4x reel pods. So now I can dry/recharge a batch ahead of time and swap it out quickly to minimize the time it’s exposed to the open air.

Quite a few reviews saying the package wasn't full, but mine was filled to the brim - I think they got that fixed. It's nice stuff, I really enjoy the infinite re-usability and the performance over traditional desiccant packs. I'm including a photo of the 2 lb package next to a Bambu AMS so you can get a sense of the size.
