This Epiphone 339 case arrived super well-packed. The case itself fits my 339 perfectly with a plush interior that cradles the guitar gently. Can you tell that I really like it?

The Epi 339 Pro is really a fun instrument and great value for the money - certainly deserving of a hard case, and this case is a deal as well.While not a "fling it down the stairs with impunity" case, it cradles the guitar firmly, has sturdy latches, a surprisingly comfortable handle, and doesn't weigh a ton.Not "rich corinthian leather," but it beats a gig bag all the way home. Mine has a few imperfections but nothing affecting utility.- J

Beautifully made. Good hardware and lovely gray plush interior. Best of all is that my Agile 2500 12 String electric fits.Standard LP cases are way too short for the 12 string. The extra length of the 12 string head stock, along with the angled neck and head stock made finding a case difficult. But this one is a true 42 1/2" long and has an extra 1" depth needed to accommodate the angled neck . The width is about 1" wider than the LP style body needs, but not so much that the guitar will rattle around inside. The guitar strap fills the space nicely, so no extra padding needed.

Firstly, great to see this in stock - despite the 339 supposedly being a bigger seller than the 335, everyone just seems to sell 335 cases, which are much too big for a 339. I'd been looking for months for someone to have this in stock, so was delighted to find this at last.Exterior: the case seems fairly robust (fine for the car, possibly risky on a plane). Leather (I think) cover. It has 3 latches down the side that opens (one of which has a lock), and one on the other side. The handle sits at a good angle for balance when you are carrying the guitar.Interior: see my pics. It has a nice grey plush interior, with additional cushioning at the pressure points. It fits the Epiphone ES339 extremely snugly, and as expected in a custom case I don't detect any movement of the guitar inside. The neck appears well supported, and is raised so the headstock does not touch the back or the end of the case, so that should be well protected. There is also a compartment under the neck where you could put plectrums, capo, slides, a few packs of strings, some string cleaner etc. See pic. There isn't anywhere designated for storing music books, but you might be able to fit a thin book under the guitar I guess.Obviously the case is much heavier than a gigbag, but if you're looking at hard cases then you're buying this for protection rather than lightness.Up to now I'd been transporting my 339 in a Fender Strat gig bag, which it surprisingly (just) fits body-wise, but the Epiphone is longer so the headstock was slightly exposed. I'm really glad to have a decent (and correctly sized) case now!If you have an ES-339 and want some more robust protection than a gigbag, I'd certainly recommend this.
