Well built and good customer service
There was a small dent in the corner, but I was able to get a prompt replacement. I also own the Lapgear Bamboard which is very similar design. The Bookaholic feels slightly heavier, but that may be because the other one has beveled edges on the bottom. That is something this one could use. The mouse pad is essentially a vinyl sticker, which isn't a bad thing, as long as it doesn't start peeling down the road. Overall, I would say that Lapgear has a slight edge in craftsmanship, but the Bookaholic has a better mouse pad design.

Fits my Dell G7 17 inch Gaming Laptop just fine
I bought another lapboard a few months ago for my Dell 17" G7 gaming laptop and did some modifications to that board (which is much deeper and wider, ambidexterous, had a wrist rest I did not want and pulled off, is a nice lapboard for an iPad or smaller laptop but...) This Bookhaulic one is just right size, no wrist rest (check), tons of air holes (check), large mouse pad going right to the edge of the board front and side (check). The other board had angled back slots that let tablet and phone devices lean back and those slots were just a tiny bit wider allowing my Samsung Note in its case to fit snugly. The slots in this lapboard are not angled back, so deviced don't stay leaning back when I move around, and are just too narrow for my Note in case to fit in. But a little dremel work should fix that up. Overall an excellent lapboard for large, heavy dual fan gaming computers in my opinion. If they fix the slots on to be angled back and a little wider, this would be the ultimate board not needing simple modifications.

Great Enviromentally Conscious Venting Option
I wanted to try this because I really disliked plastic fan bases for laptops. I figured my computer has a good enough fan and just needed some ventilation. This board is amazing. It fits my Elucktronic max-17 gaming PC great. I did have one split, but the replacement, and the 2nd one I have is working great.I really like how the mouse pad section is just enough space for my needs. Only complaint, if I had one, is that the mouse pad section gets a bit ripped up after I rub my palm across the bottom. But i don't think people who use a traditional mouse would have this issue. My ergonomic sideways mouse is probably the priblem.

Perfect
So I bought a new Alienware laptop. On my old lapdesk it kept shutting down due to overheating when I would play video games. So I bought this one. I thought it would be uncomfortable since there is no padding on the bottom. Its not. I thought the air wouldn't circulate through the square holes because it was on my lap. It does. I can't use the tablet stand because I have an iPad Pro and its too big. I don't know what I would to with it or my phone in the slots anyhow. The mousepad is nice but I normally use a trackball. Long story short - its very sturdy, comfortable, and my computer has not overheated a single time. Yay!

Works great!
Bought this to use under a 17" laptop that runs hot. Works perfectly, fits almost perfectly, and keeps the laptop (and my legs!) cooler than a lapboard normally would. If you're a crafty sort, you could put a grid cushion underneath it so that it has cushioning and still has airflow... but the lack of such a cushion is why this thing doesn't run $100+. Love it, and we use it almost every day comfortably and easily. Would recommend to others, and will probably buy again!Note: the mousepad is a thin sheet, so you may need to replace it one day... but for this very same reason, replacing it will be fairly easy. (I'd guess it will last a year or two of hard use; longer with care or light use.)Note 2: Otterbox commuter or defender cases are too big for the phone/tablet grooves. Not a dealbreaker for us, but definitely wish I'd known!

Best Lap Top Stand For Any Lap Top
Looking all over for something to place my lab top on and this is perfect! Allows it to “breath” due to the cut outs and a place for my mouse and pens. Great item and well worth the investment as its quality made!

Perfect
Use your own pillow or a folded lap blanket, which is way way better than something with legs or an attached pillow you can never wash. The indents hold the stylus/pen and a usb extender for PC just fine. Any phone or ipad with a guard on it won't work as the pictures depict. Mouse pad is sufficient, and still adhered after 2+ years. Thick wood keeps it from that inevitable warp. No overheating as of yet.Had to pester someone else in the house to buy their own, they kept trying to take mine when I wasn't using it.
