If you know you know, if you don’t you don’t. I’ve been buying these for about 30 years now. They have a heft that says, “I’m about to do some serious writing. Avert your eyes least ye be blinded.” You can easily imagine how Rotring pens are, truly, mightier than the sword. Their pencils are my favorites though. They have a very nice tactile feel and heft. The only thing they fail on are the erasers. Rotring know this, we know this. The eraser is a bit like … jumping out of a plane with an umbrella instead of a parachute — you think it’s better than nothing, but you know if you use it’s still going to end messy. Good news is you can buy erasers that do a better job than anything attached to the back of any mechanical pencil. It seems a poor compromise to make, but if Rotring were to ever master a built in erasure, well, it would be a little bit too much perfection for this world. We hardly deserve these pencils as they are. Let’s not tempt fate. Sadly, I keep losing my Rotring products. Or, my coworkers love them. Either way, Rotring keeps making more and I can personally attest to their continued quality over the years.

This Rotring 1.0 mm pen, Chocolate Truffle color, is really a work of art. The German engineering is superb. The weight is ideal and well balanced. I really love the color; it seems to have some red in it therefore, giving the pen a somewhat Burgundy color, and not a dark brown Chocolate color as I thought it would be. I am not too crazy about the ink quality though, it doesn't appear to be very dark, and I would think, that a 1.0 mm width line would be wider/broader than what I am seeing here.

Excellent writing pen.

Perfect weight, perfect knurling pattern, and when paired with a refill that fits your writing style it's the perfect pen. If I would redesign it, however, I would might the grip a little wider.

I love the color. It writes very well. It is rather expensive and it had to be shipped from Japan so it took some time to get it, but I really like it.

I used it less than an hour and when clicked the top for my pen to retract. The whole insert just popped out. Quite terrible for German engineering. Other than that the design is very slick and feels comfortable in your hands

Stylo bille avec une bonne prise en main malgré le fait que le diamètre du corps soit petit. Revêtement antidérapant coté pointe pour un maintien parfait entre les doigts. La pointe en elle-même glisse parfaitement sur n'importe quel type de papier ce qui rend l'écriture très agréable et fluide.

Good quality built pen, for those who love metal pens and fans of rotring

É uma caneta toda de metal, significativamente pesada, escreve de forma agradável. O "click" é muito suave e satisfaz. Tem uma textura (toda em metal) para ajudar a segurar/mantê-la firme na mão enquanto se escreve. A recarga incluída é muito fluida, do tipo esferográfica. Utiliza recargas tipo Parker G2 (não confundir com as Pilot G2), existem imensas opções no mercado para substituir quando acabar.

Nichts klappert, die Verschraubung ist passig und der Stift ist sehr gut austariert. Er liegt wunderbar in der Hand und auch nach längerem Schreiben treten keine Ermüdungserscheinungen in den Fingern auf. Die Mike ist eine hochwertige Metall-Großraummine und hat ein schönes, gleichmäßiges Schriftbild. Diese habe ich allerdings durch die XB Großraummine von Faber-Castell getauscht, da ich eine breite Mine mit dickem Schriftbild bevorzuge. Ja, der Stift kostet 20€, aber er ist sein Geld allemal wert, da er nunmal aus hochwertigem Metall besteht und nicht so ein 08/15 Blechschreiber ist. Für Vielschreiber eine absolute Kaufempfehlung ◡̈
