Flexible Track Adds More Play Value
I purchased this track when it was a good price and after looking around the internet, and reading the reviews. I wasn't sure if it would fit on the Thomas track and sets that we already had. This is a Christmas gift so I can't really tell you if the little guy likes it, but I'm quite sure he will use it. He's been playing with the tracks and sets since he was around 11 mos. and was almost walking. At almost 3 he can make quite elaborate train layouts, and as soon as I saw this track I knew this would certainly help with some of the trickier layouts where he just needs an extra flexible piece. He gets frustrated it things don't go exactly right.I did open it up and can say that it fit on all the tracks we tested it on. I liked how well it fit, and was so excited I almost didn't want to wait until Christmas. His focus is more on the tracks and layouts than the sets. Makes sense since he is around a model railroader.I totally recommend this set. Despite that it didn't seem to have very many pieces for the price, it will be a perfect addition. I don't think it was meant to be a set in itself and after opening it and testing it, I think it's exactly what we need. It of course won't be one of those gifts that's an instant sensation, yet I know it will be the gift that will be used for a long time and a lot.

Thank you for making this piece of track!
We have old and new tracks for the take along thomas toys which are also called take n play. We have adaptors so you can connect the 2 different kinds of tracks these were made with. BUT my kids could never get the ends to line up in any way that created a decent circular path until NOW. This track solves all the problems with these sets. It also allows the tracks to be moved a bit with out them pulling apart because the tracks move. My only wish was that it came with two of each end connector pieces so you could pull it apart and use it in 2 places. I don't know why it should come apart at all if you can only connect it once, but it does and my kids want to use them all over the set but there are only one male and one female end piece.

decent for younger kids but wooden track is better
It makes a big oval and that's it; we have quite a few trains for this track that kids can push in a circle on the track. It does bend/flex but really can't make more than a circle or oval with it because you don't have very much track to work with. The kids don't play with this for as much time as they do the wooden tracks with real engines that we have -- you can make all kinds of shapes going all directions with the wooden tracks. This flexi-track is good for smaller kids I guess, because it's plastic, however, most of the trains designed for this flexi-track are hard metal that young kids can get injured with, throw at someone, or dent the floors, walls, etc. (yes, this has happened to us). Track links together pretty well but younger kids (like 2 yrs old) can't take it apart well or put it together themselves and they can do that with wooden track which is easy to assemble. I've given Thomas the train trains & flexi-track to my nephew & we bought a set as well, but I recommend the wooden track more than this.

Easy to use and Versatile
These tracks are great. They are versatile in that they will fit whatever space and shape you need them to fit in order to connect your Take-N-Play sets. Why mess around getting different curves and connector pieces when you can just use these? We had no difficulty snapping or unsnapping them, and they can even go up and down without problems. With a little bit of support, you can even make a bridge with one track curving under the other. We bought two of these, to connect two sets, and I am buying more while they are on sale because they are so versatile. We will get some switches to go with them, but otherwise there is no need for buying individual pieces of curved and/or straight tracks. Also, I was really happy to find that the wooden trains can roll on the Take-N-Play tracks. I'm not sure that we will buy any more trains specifically designed for the Take-N-Play sets, because they're not necessary for the tracks.

Pretty good
They may have improved this slightly as I haven't seen the problems that other reviewers have mentioned. This worked really well for my son's sets. It's very simple to use and gets nice bendy curves which work well. They inluded a quite a few couplers in case you lose one so that problem was taken care of. The track is pretty bumpy so the cargo can fall out if you get a badly designed flatbed carriage. But the bumps make a nice noise that mimics the sound of train. All in all an innovative and nice piece for the collection... and I don't give high points easily. For instance, the Knapford Station and Sodor Tunnel are terrible and need improvement. This one is ok.

Wish it had more connector pieces to attach to sets
This is a great track, I love how it can be flexed many different ways to create some interest and have another option to connect the Take N Play sets.It needs more connector pieces to attach to sets though. I'd like to be able to use half of this at some point of some Take N Play set and the other half on another portion, but you can't because there aren't enough connector pieces to do so...We still like it and my daughter uses it for things other than her trains as well - it makes a great "fishing stick". ;o)

love it! Product here next day!
Love it, had to return Trackmaster set for Thomas the Train because I just couldn't keep putting all those pieces together when he destroyed them, it was not mommy-convient for getting the dishes done if you know what i mean- Therefore I purchased the Take n play this set is SOOOOO much better- I believe the Track master might be better for kids that don't throw temper tantrums and knocks it down before you can catch him- So this product line seems smaller more condensed, and of course I wish the engines were motorized option like the track master- like everything there are pros and cons but I do know the Take-n Play is best for me and my son at 2 yrs 7 months.
