You have to leave it open to extend it to 10 inches deep
I recognize this is likely an atypical pursuit for a backpack, but I was hoping to find one large enough to fit a cooler. I didn't want to use a soft cooler, or a meal prep duffel bag. Instead I was looking for a backpack with specific dimensions. I tried to call this company to make additional inquiries but no one answered. On Amazon and on their website this backpack is stated to be 24"T x 13"W X up to 10" which would accommodate the cooler. Unlike most other large backpacks this has a single large compartment which would be perfect. Unfortunately when it arrived today I discovered it is only expandable to 10" if you don't mind leaving it unzipped and securing it only with the side straps and plastic clips. I have no idea where their 24" dimension comes from, it must include the shoe compartment at the bottom. I'll be returning this backpack as soon as is possible. I also think the image of someone wearing the backpack on their site is somewhat deceptive as I'm guessing that model has a smaller frame. I'm not quite 5'11" and this backpack is in my opinion more of a standard sized backpack than a large backpack.

Researched a ton, great for CrossFit, could probably fit a golden retriever in it :)
Hopefully this will help some folks who rush from work to the gym (or gym to work) need to have a place to fit all their gear, food, keys, etc... and don’t want to drop 2x the price. This thing rocks!I migrated from a large messenger bag to this one after much deliberation.I was looking for a bag large enough and with organized compartments to make it from work, change out of my work clothes, fold them (shoes, belt, shirt, jacket, etc) and put in this huge pack, grab what I need for the CF box and then throw it in the cubby. This thing it meant to be filled up, thrown around, with lots of compartments, handles, three on the outside for cell phone, keys, grips, food, jump rope, wallet, you name it... then the sides for water bottle, etc.Inside there is a modular bag that’s velcro to hold toiletries or whatever. There is also a zip out feature in the bottom to expand this already huge bag into a mega bag.Zippers rock, they all have loops to grab more quickly, most are seam sealed, velcro and compression straps, great styling, and it’s just well thought out.I do use this primarily for my daily CrossFit workouts and occasional competitions. Lots of compliments, super durable.

First impression
I bought this for an event in New York in September. So this is prior to actually using it.Seems built well with enough pockets. Some molle on the side. A strip or couple in front might be useful. Opens like a suitcase if you want to access that way. Straps are comfortable as I loaded it full of sheets to try it out. Super large capacity and within carry on specs for Southwest Airlines. I looked at many and confident in this being best

Love this bag!
I’ve had this bag for a few weeks now and absolutely love it! At first, I wasn’t sure if it was going to fit all of my gear. But boy was I wrong - I’ve got room to spare.I’ve use traditional gym duffle bags before, but they’re so cavernous I tended to misplace items. I also love my gear organized; with all of the pockets and molle attachment points I can keep everything well organized (I actually added an aid kit on the outside molle points). The velcro strips are great as well. I’m a fan of morale patches and love having the ability to add new ones and switch them around. So far I’m carrying a Pioneer powerlifting belt, Nike Metcon 4 trainers, Merrill barefoot shoes, knee sleeves, powerlifting socks, lacrosse balls, barbell collars, exercise band, my lifting journal, spare change, and my tripod for my phone. This bag is a beast! It’s built well with quality stitching and beefy zippers. As the kids say, 10/10 would recommend!

My new EDC bag
Reviews are right. This is a huge bag. And to be clear - I’m not a cross fit dude, I just carry a lot of crap around. This does the job. Some good to know features as well: has Molle system and hook and loop panel on interior of back which works great for a lot of the other tac style gear I have. Love this bag.For my fellow travelers - beware: you jam this puppy up, it’s not going to fit under the seat in front of you. No chance. So I’ve had to be selective about what to load it down with so it has some give to mash it under there or I just use another bag for when I’m on flights. Just a heads up.

My Go-To Gym & Travel Bag
First off the bright pink is originally what sold me on the bag, but I have to say that all of the pockets and compartments are the part I now really appreciate. My grips, lifters, water bottle, jump rope, and even band aids and tape (thanks to the travel case) all have a designated space. Don’t be fooled by the name “mini.” This bag can store a lot!I’ve also used this backpack on several trips and it works great as my personal item in addition to a carry on for flights. I will note that if you fill it to the brim with objects that aren’t super pliable you may not be able to fit it under your seat, so just keep that in mind. For travel, I was able to fit a pair of shoes, a small crossbody purse, an extra outfit, water bottle, snacks, iPad, and computer in it no problem.Since the photo was taken I have also accumulated a ton of patches, which are super fun to make the bag your own! Highly recommend!

Great for climbing / rigging gear. Strap broke first use.
I bought this for rigging/ climbing gear that can front load an open bag instead cramming things into a tight top like usual hiking bags. Theres webbing loops for caribeeners everywhere inside and out, its perfect for my equipment set up. First time using it the stitching that holds the left main strap on ripped apart. The adjustment webbing held it together until I could get back home, and now have to sew it back together. Hope it doesnt do this next time I use it. Perhaps Ill have to go ahead and reinforce both straps just incase.... Otherwise its a nice design if it holds up...

Bear Komplex cares
I want to change my review to a positive one due to Bear Komplex making things right since the first bag I received had an outside strap tear off within a month. They replaced my bag and haven’t had any issues since which means that the first bag was just a fluke.

Poor quality materials
Really wanted to love this pack. It has a great a design, but a really poor execution with the quality of the materials. Main zipper stopped working altogether after less than 2 months of normal use. Emailed Bear Complex customer service, haven't heard back from them, gave them my order number as they asked for, haven't heard back since. I would advise against purchasing this bag.

BAJA CALIDAD
