Great Microphone but not for everyone.
Great microphone, it simply didn’t suit my voice as well as I hoped for, the shockmount requires an awkward assembly but it works great, it’s just a bit bulky. I’m not saying don’t buy, I truly do believe it’s great, just test it on your voice first before you buy.

Exactly what I needed!
Fantastic for VoiceOver work and audiobook narration. Reduces reflections in a not-so-well treated environment. I see (and HEAR) why it's the broadcast standard.

Industry standard, still after all these years
This microphone was purchased for my home studio. It lives up to its legacy. Will other microphones out there do what this does? Absolutely, probably better. But you know you've hit the industry mark, and potential clients know you're on par when you use this microphone. Then (back to 50 years ago) and now, you will see this microphone in the best of the best broadcast studios. And now you see it in mine. I host a weekly broadcast radio show. Nice work by the seller getting it here quickly.

excellent microphone
This is an excellent microphone for voice recording and broadcasting. The shock mount comes disassembled, but only takes a few minutes to put together. It also includes four extra rubber suspension pieces.The output level of ths microphone is slightly lower than that of an SM57, so you will need a decent preamp for it. I am using a DBX 286S, which works fine.Otherwise, there's not much to say. The sound of this mic works well with a wide range of voices. If yours is such a voice, you will be happy with it.

I've needed an RE20 for years when I DJ, and now I've gotten one. Great for DJ work, on stage or radio.
