I was very skeptical about this product, especially since it's just an herbal supplement. But, I have been fighting internal and external hemorrhoids, AND a fissure, for 3-4+ months now. Now, I know that most people would have seen a doctor before they ever let it get this bad, but this is one of those instances where I was too stubborn and too embarrassed to go, as I'm sure most of you can relate to. I also began to increase my water intake (I used an app on my phone to record and monitor my intake) as well as increasing my fiber intake and using stool softener (I had a tendency to push or strain while defecating, which is how this whole mess got started). While the increased water, fiber and use of stool softener helped, as did the other remedies, I never actually found relief. At times it did feel like the hemorrhoids were shrinking and that the bleeding had stopped, but usually a day or two later everything would act up again.Out of desperation I turned to Amazon. I was at my wit's end and was ready to set up an appointment with my doctor, regardless of how embarrassing the ordeal is. One of the first items to come up in the search results was HemRid. The low price was a big attraction and the reviews were positive in general. I had just received an Amazon gift card for the holidays so I figured, "Why not? What's there to lose?" I ordered one bottle in the beginning of January and in spite of the positive reviews, I wasn't expecting much due to my experiences with the traditional remedies. My order arrived and I took one pill (this was mid-afternoon) and then I took another when I went to bed.For the first day or two, I followed the instructions and took one pill three times a day. I didn't notice much of a difference right away, but by the third and fourth day of using the product, I noticed significant shrinkage of the external hemorrhoids. By the time a week went by, the internal hemorrhoids were gone and the external hemorrhoids shrank even more! I also noticed a decrease in bleeding as time went on, and it was no longer painful to have a bowel movement or to wipe (I continue to wipe with either medicated wipes or traditional baby wipes, whatever I have on hand at the moment).I was impressed with HemRid, but there was that one lingering external hemorrhoid and the fissure that continued to be problematic. So, before I finished my HemRid, I once again logged on to Amazon and ordered another bottle, and I also purchased a bottle of Nature's Way Butcher's Broom Root Capsules, 100-Count. If you have done enough research on the topic, you will see that the ingredients in HemRid and Butcher's Broom are very useful in treating this condition. The external hemorrhoid is essentially nonexistent at the moment (it's still there but it's more of like a deflated balloon) and the fissure acts up every now and again, but for the past few days I have been able to continue to have a bowel movement and clean up without any pain and very minimal bleeding (if there's any blood it's typically a tiny spot or two on the wipe, nowhere near as bad as it used to be, and sometimes it doesn't bleed at all).The only negative I can find about HemRid is that since I began using the product, I have been very itchy all over. This seems to be a side effect of the horse chestnut itself, but I would rather deal with an itchy arm than itching, burning hemorrhoids any day of the week. I still continue to use my wipes and other products, especially the sitz bath, but I don't use them as frequently as I used to. I have found that using the HemRid and Butcher's Broom supplement are doing a great job by themselves.In closing, if you have suffered with these problems for as long as I have, or even if they're just developing, don't suffer any more than you already have. Order a bottle or two of the HemRid, and pick up some Butcher's Broom while you're at it. Also, make some lifestyle and diet changes if you needed, and use the sitz bath and hemorrhoid wipes, too. This stuff is amazing. If you are reading this review, you either are desperate for a solution to your problem or looking to make fun of the problem. I was desperate when I read the reviews and thought: well this has to be bs. How does a pill help me "down there"? Well, boys and girls, this product worked for me. Within 48 hours I had success. It has been 2 weeks, and the results are nothing short of fantastic. I will spare you the details, however, lets say I can now live like a regular human being. I am not perfect, but the results are MUCH BETTER than the laser surgery I had years ago. And the results get better the longer I use it.The ingredients are horse chestnut, witch hazel leafs, and bilberry fruit (bilberry fruit has a lot of benefits including improving eye sight, and lowering blood sugar for diabetics - WIN!) I would have never believed this stuff would have worked.Oh, one issue that another reviewer mentioned extreme dizziness. This worried me, as I am sensitive to a lot of medications. I have had no adverse effects after 2 weeks. I will post in another month or two and tell you how it goes long term.UPDATE 7/14/15After using this for a month, it is still working, and it is still a miracle. It has also made a positive difference in my blood sugar. I take it daily, and it continues to work!

Not a miracle cure all but a definite relief.It took about two weeks at two capsules a day but there is an obvious improvement.I am placing a repeat order.

No flavour or after taste but I'm not sure on the effectiveness. I've tried one bottle with minimal results and I'm waiting for the next one to arrive. Can't say it healed me but I haven given up yet and will come back after I try the ultra version to give an updated review.
