Amazon eero Pro 7 - Reliable WiFi at last !!
The eero Pro 7 has been a game-changer. I replaced my old router after constant dropouts, buffering and unreliable connections, and since switching to this, everything has been completely smooth. Devices connect instantly, speeds are consistent, and streaming, video calls and smart home kit all just work without a second thought. Being a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router, it handles multiple devices effortlessly and keeps performance stable even when everything’s running at once. Coverage is excellent, and the mesh setup means no dead spots around the house. Setup was straightforward through the app, and once it’s running, you get full visibility and control over your broadband, which is genuinely useful rather than gimmicky. The extra features included with the subscription add real value too - things like advanced security, activity controls and network insights actually make a difference day to day. It feels well thought out and polished, which isn’t surprising given it’s an Amazon product. Overall, it’s a stellar bit of kit. Reliable, fast, and properly future-proofed- if you’ve been struggling with connectivity issues, this is a solid upgrade and well worth the money.

eero Pro 7 Great performance
Before the eero Pro 7, our Wi-Fi experience was a daily struggle of dead zones, laggy video calls, and frustrating buffering. We have a large, multi-story home with over 50 connected devices, and no traditional router or older mesh system could handle the load—until now. The upgrade to the eero Pro 7 has been transformative. The speeds are truly incredible. On Wi-Fi 7-compatible devices, I am consistently hitting near-wired speeds, even when multiple 4K streams, cloud backups, and intensive gaming sessions are running concurrently. The 5GbE ports are also fantastic for hard-wiring my office setup. More importantly, the reception and coverage are flawless. This system blanketed our entire house and even extended coverage to the patio where we previously had zero signal. The transition between nodes is perfectly seamless; I can walk from the basement to the third floor on a video call without a single drop or stutter. Setup was ridiculously easy through the app, taking less than 10 minutes from unboxing to full operation. If you are serious about fast, reliable, and comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage, the eero Pro 7 is worth every penny. It's the last Wi-Fi system you'll need to buy.

Good when used according to its design.
So, it does work and it is more powerful than the basic Eero 7. I got a small improvement in Latency and better coverage. I can cover our house and the garden with this and an additional base Eero 7. Setup was easy for me. It won’t do some things; 1) B&O wireless speakers are a pain. I attach my B&O Level directly to one of the units with a network cable as mesh wireless works badly with B&O. That’s a B&O problem rather than an Eero problem but either way, it’s not ideal and needs more work on the B&O side. The problem with it is where older devices can’t cope with 2.5 and 5ghz using the same name. 2) You can’t attach a disc by USB and use it as a network drive. I would like to see this in future models please. 3) You can’t expect it to work optimally immediately. It takes around 48 hours for it to learn how to attach optimally to your devices. If you’re adding an additional Eero, it’s best to let it settle for a few hours then reboot the network. After two days, it should be fine. Apart from those caveats, it’s a very good product as long as you use it as it’s designed to be used.

Expensive, but a great balance of ease of use and advanced tools
I have had eero systems for maybe 5 years now and love them - it’s a nice balance of user friendly and advanced controls without needing to be a network engineer. They mesh up so nicely and have a solid effect of spreading your WiFi signal without degrading it. I jumped to the pro 7 from the pro 6E mainly because I have a load of wifi7 devices that I wanted to maximise - and this delivers. With a 2gbps incoming speed (overkill) I can get over 1.2gbps WiFi speed from anywhere in my 3 rooms downstairs. It’s an improvement of around 300-400mbps over the 6E models. For some, that isn’t worth the price, which I totally understand - but we have multiple people working from home on engineering projects and it helps. A single unit can cover easily a floor of a home, and signal strength is impressive - an improvement over 6E for sure. The app is great in terms of quick views of performance and diagnosing devices that might struggle. Some things I really want though - and it applies to all eeros really - let me keep some devices locked onto a specific frequency - and let me force devices to connect to a specific eero. Sometimes they connect to another and take a while to switch when you move around. If you get eero secure plus, you can add block and get a vpn and 1Password - I dont use the add block because it messes up some websites, but the vpn and 1Password are so worth it. Main downside is price - this is EXPENSIVE for a wifi7 unit, I’m sure prices will come down over time but right now it’s hard to justify

Easy to set up, great performance and coverage, superb speeds
I replaced my AmplifiHD with these, I paired them with a Arris router (I'm with YouFibre), connected by a network cable to the first one. Downloaded the app, followed the instructions and it was absolute simplicity to set up. First one done in 5 mins, then the second I placed at the other end of the house, switched it on, followed the app and it was up and running quicker. To make things seamless, I used the same WiFi network name and WPA2 password as my old network so all my devices just connected easily. Finally, because I am using a Arris modem router, I put the Eero in bridging mode. I could have done this in the Arris, but it was easier in the Eero. The wifi signal is superb! My walls are a metre of welsh stone, but with two of these in your 3 bed detached, it's blazing all round the house. Picked it up during Prime deals, so price was good (still ouch but latest tech, and so sick of my od network issues I want for it) and I now have stability, great coverage and no dropout. Last thing to mention, I had to reset all my Ring devices, even though I kept the same network name and password. And my HomeKit gear still works fine. It was more expensive than some others, but the simple set up and great wifi is more than enough to delight me.

An excellent tri-band router.
Great piece of hardware that self configured on your network using the eero app. WiFi coverage is excellent with few black spots. The network can be easily extended using additional eero routers in mesh mode. The unit is backwards compatible with eero 5, 6 and 6e. It also works with the eero 7 max. Not the cheapest, but well worth the money. Build quality is also excellent and will fit easily in any room decor.

Does not work with Hypervolt EV chargers
Brought a pair of these and initially they worked very well. Then I had a Hypervolt EV charger fitted and the eero routers will not work with the eero routers. Something is blocking the charger and the internet. Both WIFI and a physical LAN cable were blocked. eero support were not much help and could not solve it. I replaced the routers with the TP-Link Deco and they allow the Hypervolt charger to connect without issue. In summary: be aware that the eero routers are blocking some internet traffic without telling you or giving you a way to unblock (For the record I did not sign up to the added security - this was on the out of the box setup). I will say that for every other device in the home the routers worked very well. In my experience DO NOT BUY THE EERO IF USING A HYPERVOLT EV CHARGER.

Super fast Wifi Router, capable of 1.8Gbps over wifi
Honestly best bang for buck router you can get if you have 1+ Gb internet. This is my second one of these as I run them in mesh network, over the mesh (wifi backhaul) I am able to get 1.8Gbps out my 2Gbps internet connection which is staggering. I used to have more expensive Asus ones which could not get anywhere near this. There super easy to setup, just download the app and they'll guide you through the whole process, there small and alot less bulky looking than other competitors. As these are aimed at your everyday non techy person the setup is super easy however there is limited customisability, honestly as someone who is techy (Software Developer) I actually have no complaints on this right now, they just seem to work and they automatically choose the best config for the environment there in. Signal is strong throughout the house as well. Speed test attached, 1.6Gbps down 1.7Gbps up and thats with 6 security cameras, a NAS, 3 phones, and a desktop watching youtube all going through the this node. it's really impressive. I'd like to see more options in the advanced section but I get it, it's meant to be dummy proof and so far they are.

Just perfect
Not a lot of words needed, here is a simple image view of before & after I got the eero pro 7 (153mb to 1005mb) to most of all my devices. Very good product, truly no complaints

Super easy to setup. No tech knowledge needed.
Unbelievably easy to set up. To set up 2 units, it took me about 10min in all and that included removing the old devices and installing these new ones. So far, all my devices have connected up to it without issue except my old pet cams which use 2.4gHz that needed a bit more time. I'd strongly recommend this product.

Do not cover 190m²
I bought this to replace my Google Wifi. Setting it up was straightforward, and the WiFi speed is impressively fast. However, the coverage is disappointing. While they claim it covers up to 190 m², this seems accurate only if your house has no walls or multiple floors... It’s understandable that coverage is often less than advertised, but in this case, when I move upstairs or into another room, my phone immediately switches to 5G. Unfortunately, I don’t live in a castle with metre-thick walls. If strong coverage is a priority for you, I’d recommend investing in additional routers or considering alternative options.
