As advertised. Well boxed. No assembly needed. Started easily will no issues. Manuel is almost useless, went online to view video.

Pros:Didn't use as much gas as I thought it would in spite of what the FAQ stated.Watch the videos. Mine came with a somewhat better manual than what others describe though.Was pushing about 700 pounds on a wide rowboat, probably around 10 MPH or so. Without the weight was a whole lot faster.Very lightweight.Manufacturer/seller seems to be interested in running a professional business complete with excellent customer service. Has a good warranty. I'd say it's a middle/upper tier Chinese manufacturer. Not a entry level.Cons:Only thing I disliked was that the lanyard killswitch thing broke, and I can no longer use it to turn the engine off. I just pull the spark plug out instead.

If I could put 10 stars I would. It’s a super easy to use motor. Someone else said the same thing. That you only have a fill and empty hole for oil compared to the manual. Which could use some work, but otherwise the motor is great. After putting gas and oil in it for the first time, it started on the first pull. GREAT VALUE.

Very impressed overall. Lanyard for kill switch broke after three test pulls. Manual is confusing - the 4 hp I purchased has only a single place to fill and empty the engine oil, in contrast to the photos. Otherwise, it's been a great purchase.

Delivery was good, well packed, ontime.overall : good looking and good engine.First use, everything went well.After reading the manual, just put oil and gas and it start at first pull. I put it in my kayak (i built a support for the engine), using it in very calm salt-water (beach), no waves. After using it, i clean it with fresh-water and lubricated overall body (not electrical part).The only thing its that there is no drain oil plug as showed in the manual. Its a single hole to fill and empty the engine oil. Hopping it will continue to work perfectly ....

Piece of junk. Worked fine the first time we used it. The drive shaft broke under minor stress the second time we used it. Total waste of money. Don't buy!

with just a half hour running time , shutoff switch quit working. at first engine had good speed, then i noticed i had to give it full throttle to get any speed out of it. we had fresh gas with high octane as called for and 4 cycle oil new out of can . Good thing the spark plug wire is easy to reach as it is the only way to kill engine now.

Starts quickly, runs ok clutch engages at a low enough speed that you can still do a nearly no wake when needed. The only complaint I have is that it misses at different speeds. Have not been able to run it a full speed yet since I first tested on a Intex 4 person rubber raft but intent to also use it on my West Marine dingy which will allow me to run full speed.

I bought the motor early to have it for the start of the bass season. After installing it and filling gas and oil as instructed, I started the motor. Oil poured out of the breather and was spitting out of the muffler. Motor ran less than 30 seconds and leaks oil badly. I would like a replacement or be able to return it.The Covid 19 problem made it impossible for me to try the motor because I was not at the same physical location as it.

Did not advise , to add oil,just showed you the level of oil chart.They should make sure there is add quit oil for break in . They don't advise what to do,thus the engine seizes. Idle controls terrible.,does not idle down to a neutral setting. Not enough information.Sloppy throttle cable lose .Poor design .Motor does have power,but to primitive for today's age.

for money paid, this is very good motor for powering boat (I have pelican 12 ft boat) or canoe...In a choppy weather (1 foot- swells) its pushing boat just fine.. Motor started right from the first pull and every time after that... add 10-40 engine oil, 91 octane gasoline, press on primer, full choke, pull on the cord and off to go...I recommend this motor for powering small boat (up to 12 ft) or canoe...

It is a portable engine, very light and easy to use. one thing I don't like , it has no handle to carry to become a good portable engine. Each time after use, be really careful to take it out your inflatable boat, it is very hot on exhaust pipe and cylinder head.

Very disappointed! First thing there is no oil screw as described and the speed control handle broke before I even used it!! Very bad quality.
