affordable, comfortable, & cute racing vest
I've used the Nathan Intensity Race Vest in Tango Red/Tangerine for a year now and have been really happy with it (except for the color). I wanted a new racing vest that had places for handheld water bottles, and that's when I found the Fireball. It comes with two really high-quality bottles (I put Nuun in each of them, and water in a bladder--the 1.5L bladder is not included with the pack, unfortunately). The vest fits my 5'4"/138 lbs. frame perfectly and I hardly notice it on a run. No movement or sloshing in the back. The shoulders seemed to rub a bit at first, but now it doesn't bother me. It's also really easy to clean in the washing machine. My only complaint: the straps on this pack are just odd in regards to length. The top strap that goes across the upper chest is very short, almost too tight, and the bottom strap that goes across the ribs is super long! I had to cut the ends and burn the edges, they were driving me crazy. (Some people double-loop the straps, but it didn't work for me.) Also, if you do use a bladder, there isn't a place to clip the mouthpiece onto the pack--you have to buy one separately, or do what I do--tuck the tube into one of the straps while running, which can be a bit uncomfortable. There's no need to invest in a $200 racing vest when you can get one for 1/3 of the price that's just as stylish and effective. I'm a huge fan of Nathan products and will continue to purchase their quality running gear.

but this water pack is perfect for me
I don't have anything to compare this guy with, but this water pack is perfect for me! Its survived many training runs and 7 1/2 marathons so far. I cant stand relying/even stopping at water stations during a race so I knew that a water pack was a must. I use the hydrapak 1.5l reservoir for water and fill the smaller containers with Gatorade. The pockets are perfect to stash extra Gu/chews/keys/phone, etc. Its light enough that it doesn't put any extra strain on my shoulders and I've never had any problems with chafing or anything like that. Its super adjustable, so as your water level goes down, its easy to tighten the straps to keep the pack in place.

Great Vest
So I did a lot of research trying to find the right vest to fit my needs. I finally decided on the fireball and I'm very pleased with my decision.I ran 16 miles my first time using it and I couldn't be more happier with it. It stayed in place the bottles were easy to use and the storage worked great for holding my I pod and refueling snacks.I'm getting ready to run a 15 mile trail race so I'm excited to use this vest for it.

Perfection!
I wish I had gotten this a year ago because I love it so much. I can't even feel it when I have it on. It is super light and breathable and doesn't jostle at all. I love that there are 2 bottles right in front for you to grab as needed, and they have elastics to hold them in place so there's no worry of losing one (as was always happening with my hydration belts). I also love the other pockets in front where you can have access to your bars and gels without any fuss.Love this pack so much and don't know how I survived on the trails before I got it. I'd recommend it for anyone running over an hour, and would recommend it even more if you're running in hot conditions!

Love it...almost must have for my self supported long runs w/o care for water stops...
One of the best so far, I've done many half marathons (self supported out in the boonies) and also a few trails marathons in heat...this vest feels very comfortable and does offer everything that it was designed for. It has a large enough bladder for your hydration needs during intense workouts during summer it you can chuck the bladder for just the bottles for shorter runs...I've done the NorthFace Enurance Challenge and several other trail runs (Mid ultra distances both supported and self supported long training runs) this has been my trusted companion though out..

it's absolutely perfect for an un-supported half marathon
With a 1.5L bladder, it's absolutely perfect for an un-supported half marathon. I've done about half a dozen 13-15 miles trail runs and this pack has been superb!

Perfect pack for long trail runs!
Used this for my 1st 25k and loved it! Water bottles were enough hydration for the entire race (I ran out with about 2 miles left) and the backpack was perfect for my fuel (2 packs Honey Stinger Organic Waffles), cell phone and rain jacket. Used the little zip pocket for my keys and ID. I can't wait to use it for more longer trail runs! I love Nathan products in general; I use their smaller waist hydration pack for shorter (6-10 miles) runs.

Just what I was looking for.
I love this water pack. It will carry my cel phone and a few other things, but is very light weight. Just what I have been looking for. I saw another hiker wearing one and wrote down the brand name. I then went to Amazon and found it. It is just perfect for me and walking is the desert.
