1HP In/Above Ground Pool Pump with Timer, 5860GPH High Flow 115V Powerful Self Primming Swimming Pool Pumps with Filter

I bought the 2HP with timer about 6 months ago. So far, so good. It seems to be a great value for the money. I did want to submit a few things that you may want to consider before buying. My personal experience was that the pump was crazy loud when I first installed it. I went back and looked at reviews and did not see that as a general complaint, so I decided to wait and see. It turns out that after breaking in for a few days the pump did quieten down a good bit. I still wouldn't say it's "whisper quiet" as advertised, but not louder than the Hayward I had before. The filter basket feels like cheap junk. It's very thin and almost floppy. The holes in the basket are the perfect size to trap little bits of leaves and sticks, making it necessary to clean it almost every time I service the pool. Again, not the biggest of problems, but it does add a few minutes to my weekly service. I also worry what I'll do when the basket needs replaced. The timer is a touch pad that sits on top of the control panel. It can be toggled in 2 hour increments. You cannot set a time to start and a time to stop. It will always execute the number of hours you set it for beginning when it is last turned on. This is problematic if you want to maybe have it run in the evenings exclusively. Whenever you have to stop the pump to back flush or empty the filters, you start the clock again. It's inconvenient but not that big of a problem. Lastly, and maybe the biggest issue, is that the instructions for installation require it to be installed in a cool dry location. That certainly is not on the listing and I would not have bought this if it had been. I went ahead and installed it outdoors next to my filter housing, as it was urgent (the pool was green and I had a party scheduled). So far, it has been fine with being outdoors and exposed to the elements. It's been through several storms and not showed any unusual wear and tear. I do wonder how long that touch pad timer will last, but I'll update later on. Oh and lastly some people said the fittings did not fit regular PVC plumbing sizes. The fittings are just super tight. Lightly use of a little sand paper and they will slide together easily. If I had it to do over, I'd still buy this same pump. great value compared to name brands.

I purchased a Vidapool pump to replace my aging unit on my above ground pool, and I can confidently say this is one of the best pool pumps on the market. From start to finish, the experience has been outstanding. Installation was a breeze. The instructions are clear and straightforward, and I had everything up and running without a single hiccup. Once it was going, the difference was immediately obvious. The water circulation is incredibly powerful; nothing has had a chance to settle at the bottom since day one, and the water stays crystal clear. The noise level is night and day compared to my old pump. I literally cannot hear this one running. My previous unit was so loud it ruined time spent outdoors in the evenings, and that problem is completely gone. I’ve run it on both 115V and 220V, and the 2HP motor is impressively powerful on both. The fittings connected perfectly with zero leaks. The built-in timer was the feature that initially caught my attention, and it delivers. Truly a set-it-and-forget-it convenience. When I had a question, customer service responded quickly and resolved everything with ease. Overall, this is one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon in years. Highly recommend!

Ok I read the one star reviews and it frightened me, then read the five star reviews and said jeez I’m just gonna order the darn pump and see for myself. I ordered the one hp version to replace my old Hayward 3/4 hp pump which finally bit the dirt after many years of fateful service. Wow this pump is a lot quieter than my old one and pushes a little bit more water through the system. I have a 13,000 gallon in ground pool. First of all I read about how this new pump is not self priming… well mine is and hasn’t stopped self priming yet so I’m not sure how other folks hooked their pump up but I followed the directions and it is definitely self priming so far. The pump arrived complete no missing parts and no cracked housing or loose parts. I must warn you the 2” adapters are a little loose fitting I just used a ton of glue … the 1 1/2 threaded fittings were dead on exact fit for 1 1/2 inch pvc. This pump puts out a little more pressure than my old pump, my Hayward pool cleaner crawls faster with this new pump. Just so everyone knows … no matter how many horsepower you have you can only move about 2,200 to 2,400 gallons per hour though 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe so purchasing a bigger pump isn’t always gonna pump more water through a certain sized pipe. My old pump cost over $400 and used 11 amps… this one cost half that and uses only about 8 amps so I’m already saving money on my electric bill, also it’s running a lot cooler than the old one , just warm … not hot to the touch like the old one. I had absolutely no problems cutting the old pump out and installing this pump , just needed a couple fittings and some fresh glue and primer, I recommend greasing up the basket lid o-ring and the compression fitting o rings so they are easy to remove later if needed. I’m really impressed with this pump and will definitely purchase another one if needed however I also purchased the Asheron extended warranty no questions asked just in case for only 26 bucks for two years so I’m good to go and still wondering why so many one star reviews? Lol

I ordered this Pool Pump because my old one was going to cost too much to put back in service. I received the pump and went to work installing it. I got it all hooked up and started putting water into the pre filter or pot, and started losing water coming out at the water inlet. I contacted vitapool and they confirmed it was leaking through a crack at the inlet. They recommended I send it back to Amazon as I'd get a replacement faster that way. I could have let them send me a new one and keep the bad one which would give me an extra motor which is usually the first thing to go out. I opted to send it back to Amazon. I did the return stuff yesterday and UPS picked up the bad one this afternoon. About an hour later the new one arrived from Amazon. I was able to install it in just a few minutes as I already had all the new piping done, just screwing the pump to the pipes and hook up the electricity. It started right up and primed itself in less than 30 seconds. The reason for the 5 stars is their Customer Service. They worked with me to get the best results. The only thing I didn't like was they only work through email, no phone work. But, I am very happy with the new pump which is real quite. This is also a good value as it was going to be over $400.00 to get my old pump working which was still going to be an old one with some new parts. With this I have an all new Pool Pump for just over $250 after taxes. That's about a $200 savings less about $50 for materials to hook the new one up. The only reason it's that much is due to a valve I had to replace to choose which pipe I'm pulling from, the cleaner line or the Skimmer line. I'd recommend this pump to anyone. I have an in ground pool that's about 18,000 gallons of water and it claims to work on above ground pools too which I'm sure it would.

Bought this pump in May of 25' for my 30ft above ground pool. Pump worked flawlessly through the season. Very powerful and extremely quiet. Quieter, more powerful, and more efficient than my Hayward pump that it replaced. The next season 26, I turned it on and it had sprung a leak on the pump housing. After looking up my I order I realized the pump had a 2 year warranty. I reached out to Vidapool via email with the Amazon order and the issue I had. To my surprise within 24hrs they returned my email stating I was still well within my warranty and that they would ship me a replacement once I sent them a picture of the cracked housing. I did what they asked, of coarse, and the pump was on its way. I had to write this review not only to state the qualities of the pump, but the customer service was incredible. It's rare to get good customer service nowadays and if I get it, I have to give credit where credit is due. Highly recommended!

The two power-speed settings are a great feature, allowing me to adjust the performance based on my pool's needs while also helping with energy efficiency. What really stood out was the customer service. Every question I had was answered quickly, and the support team was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. After my old pump failed, my pool became cloudy very quickly. This pump made an incredible difference and helped clear the water up much faster than I expected. It has been reliable, efficient, and easy to use. I highly recommend this pump to anyone looking for a quality replacement or upgrade.

Installation was easy, runs quiet, so far so good [1 month of use] However, if you go to their website, there is no website. Just "coming soon" with a place to enter your email if you want to be notified. QR code to register for additional warranty does the same thing.

Excellent functionality, I had this Pump for over 2 months and works perfectly fine, my pool's water gets the proper filtration needed. my original pump broke and it would have cost me over $1500 to replace it...I paid a fraction for the Vida pool Bump; my investment was totally worth it!!! It was easy to install with some PVC adaptors.
