How much headroom do you need? Thinking of putting it in my garage but it’s not that tall so I am worried about banging my head on the ceiling.

Awkward for me to answer as I'm a female of 4ft 11, so I'm well below average height, but it adds around a foot or more at highest point, so if you're around 5ft 8, I'm not sure you'd be too successful with the headroom, sorry I can't help more :(

Does it squeak when used?

No it Doesn’t it’s an excellent product I uses it every day

Is the 12 inch stride too small for a good workout? Looking at buying but not sure if it will provide a good workout based on low stride

I haven’t got a very big stride either. I’m 5ftb3ins and it does work for me . You actually don’t stride as you are in a way cycling. Your legs go more up and down. It’s your arms that do the striding.
