Why did you pick this product vs others?: Better quality than the original factory part, and half the price as well. Comes with mounting hardware which is not obvious in the picture

Hitch/Receiver are rugged and all the welds looked good. No problems with fit. Installed in about 30 minutes. The instructions are not the best but it is a simple install so you shouldn't run into any issues.

The instruction are lacking, but I've installed enough Rugged Ridge products on my TJ that I've come to expect this. You can usually find a YouTube video showing the install for one of their products. Certainly more cost-effective than the Mopar part for the JL and is solid. It took me 30 mins to install, but that was because I have the Sahara and had to remove two screws and push the plastic fascia around to get the bolts. Once the fascia was loosened, the new hitch went right in.

Overall quality of the product is very good. Very nice coating and the welds are neatly formed. The photos in the instruction manual are rather poor and although the installation process is quite easy I did spend some time trying to remove the wrong nuts on my vehicle because of ambiguity in the photos in the instruction manual. This is a very unobtrusive, basic design, bolt-on part that makes no difference in not having that OEM look.

Took me 20 mins to put this on. Everything lined up and fit perfectly. I didn’t get wiring harness as I’m not planning to tow anything but will use it for a bike rack and basket for trips. The hitch is going to take some abuse, so not something I’d be concerned with blemishes on, but out of the box, the paint and holes were very nicely done and it looks great.

This hitch was super easy to install on my Jeep JL. It took 5 minutes. Good quality for light towing or bike racks. It doesn’t tie into the frame and is not right for heavy trailer towing. Great price and quality.

First, I was surprised how heavy it was. I am aware it has to be strong to tow thousands of pounds, but it looks like it would survive the apocalypse. Install is straight forward on the JL. The muffler makes it a tight fit, but easily doable for anyone with even basic handyperson skills. A rachet and wrench are all you need.

No fue de la marca original de Jeep, pero es de una muy buena marca genérica y con un acabado excelente. Viene muy bien pintando, los tornillos le quedaron exactos a mi Jeep Wrangler JL 2019 Sahara, y 3 días después ya remólcanos 2 motos acuáticas sin ningún problema y sin mayor esfuerzo.

I waited and have wanted this product for so long but there is one caveat. If you own a UK rh drive jeep wrangler then beware. The OEM UK standard rear bumper has the central number plate moulded projecting downwards thus rendering the tow bar hitch impossible to fit as it sites directly behind the number plate moulding. Since i purchased this i now have had to purchase a Rugged Ridge rear bumper in order to fit the hitch. I have trawled virtually all YT videos and could not find one that details this.

Does not fit Jeep JL sport 2018 Due to bumper blocking fitment.
