I really like the addition of Magnesium Chloride for added benefit. I was amazed that this immediately relieved the pain I had with a small knot on my upper shoulder. For more problematic and thicker areas , you may need to apply regularly for it to be effective. I apply in thin layers and rubbed in, too much at one time,can leave white magnesium residue. Best to use after bathing, when skin is clean & pores are open. For foot pain, I recommend a foot soak (preferably with Magnesium chloride flakes ) prior to applying this the best results. Magnesium chloride is said to be more effective than magnesium sulfate (epsom salt).
