Sightmark Sightmark Solitude 7 X 36 Xd Binoculars - Black, Not Applicable

I have been searching high and low for a smaller pair of binoculars in either 8x32, 8x30, or 7x36 (which are a rare commodity). I had been searching for ZR ED2 7x36 but they are over four hundred. I have a pair of Maven B2 9x45's that are surreal to look through and use them extensively. These Sightmark's are identical to the ZR's in every spec. and a couple other companies 7x36 and each one is priced over four bills. I have a pair of Steiner's and Nikon Monarch 3's and these are optically closer to the Maven's than the other two. They have ED glass, phase coatings, magnesium bridge, FOV of 477ft which is expansive, nitrogen and o ring sealed, comes with strap, case, front and rear guards, and a harness strap. Focus is Clockwise Infinity. Clarity is about 80% of the viewing field. About 1.5 turns from close to infinity. Eye cups extend/retract smoothly to two stops about 16mm of relief. Focusing knob is huge and turns smoothly with no slop. Seems well built at 23.5 oz.. Great glass, a steal at this price point.

These binoculars are heavy and have uncomfortable eye cups. The IPD is limited. There were a couple black specs on the outer edge of the inside the left barrel. Lastly, they weren’t as clear as expected, even a the heavily discounted price. Maybe these were a one off because the rest of the reviews here are 5-star.

But when trying to get a second one, I received a badly defective pair like a prisom in the wrong place, obvious to me none checked them out for quality control. First pair had great build quality and optics, got on sale and one of the best bargains in binoculars I've seen. Update: only thing I don't like is that the eye relief is not perfect in that with eye cups all the way out one must hold the binocular alittle away from you, eye cups should come out another 2mm.
