During the course of the last year, the effectiveness of the collagen powders seems to have plateaued. I wasn't sure if it was the quality of the various brands of collagen powders or because of my age (70+). Just a couple of weeks after I began taking Toniiq's Tremella, I started to see subtle improvements in my skin. Overall, my skin looks softer, slightly plumper/more hydrated and fine wrinkles less noticeable. Doesn't help with wrinkles around the mouth or crepey skin though. So now I'm a believer. This comes with two bottles of 60 capsules. The serving size is 2 capsules, so the two bottles contain two months total, which is nice. My problem is the capsules are large and thick. The photo attached is of the capsules next to an American nickel for scale. That might look to big, but i was comparing them to some iron capsules I take, and these were about twice as big as those iron capsules. I have a hard time taking pills, so this larger size is hard for me. If you don’t have issues with capsules, then these will likely be fine for you.

Evaluating a supplement is always a bit of a challenge for me. I’ve been using this one consistently for a few weeks, and while I can’t point to any dramatic changes, I also understand that some of its benefits may be subtle or cumulative – not everything has an obvious, immediate effect. My lifestyle is somewhat unpredictable – frequent travel, varying routines, and all of that makes it tough to isolate what impact a new supplement might be having. I didn’t discontinue any of my prescriptions while testing this, so this was layered on top. I did have a big work trip and often get sick when I travel. I continued to take this, along with a recent addition to my immunity-boosting regime (lipospheric Vitamin C) and I did not get sick. That said, on a previous work trip I had success taking just the Vitamin C; it's impossible to determine if this aided as well. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to help you know the company and product better so you can determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out. This bottle comes entirely encased in plastic, which seems an unnecessary expense. It arrives nearly full to the neck, which is fairly rare nowadays. If used as directed it will last two months. The expiration date on mine is Nov 2026. The capsules have a light herbal scent and taste, and are easy to swallow with water. I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says none of those. The product page does say USA manufactured, 3rd-party lab tested, and GMP-certified. I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. Their toniiq site is functional and informative. I like to see a phone number on the site, or at least a chat feature, but it has neither. However, beginning in 2024 there is a certificate of analysis for every batch, which is one of the few things I would appreciate more than being able to contact them directly. I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I have liked their supplements before. I do like the main ingredients, that they are becoming more transparent, and the lack of fillers and flow agents that many companies say they need to use, while the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements that I am aware of refuse to. I don't care for these. The capsules are pretty large and left a weird taste in my mouth. I thought maybe I didn't drink enough with them so I tried more but no matter what I do I end up with a weird flavor after taking these. Can't say I'd recommend.
