Also you can only adjust the thickness so much, super thin or sandwich slice no thick slices. The knob shows it should adjust to more thicker slices but it will not. Very deceiving !Unfortunately my window for return closed before i was able to discover this so now I’m stuck with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cuts hard crusted bread easily *by N***W on June 8, 2025* This bread slicer has suction cups to help hold it firmly on the table. It does not come apart for cleaning and is meant to be brushed off or rinsed with water.There is an adjusting knob to change the thickness of the cut of the bread. There is a metric scale sticker on the platform that goes 50 mm in each direction, but the bread can only be sliced in thicknesses up to 20 mm. Also, the sticker was not flat against the base and bits of breadcrumbs got stuck underneath the wrinkles in the sticker.The slicer does a good job with artisan breads and those with thicker crusts. It allows you to cut the bread without downward pressure that would squish the bread.Unfortunately, it leaves lots of crumbs behind. It is open to the bottom, so the crumbs form large piles on the table underneath. I recommend suctioning it to a large baking pan so that all the crumbs can be contained.It is easy to use and works better if the crank is turned clockwise when looking at it from the side. The blade is quite sharp and serrated. There is a metal blade protector around the outside, but the blade is open and accessible on the bread side.
