Phase BOA Pro

I don't have a chance to ride with these boots yet, as it's already spring-summer, but I can say at least from first impression, it seems to be the best fitting boot I've tried thus far. I'm currently at a riding level where I am working on park, jumps, and buttering, and all of these require a responsive boot that can transfer power efficiently. Unfortunately, most boots don't fit me well. Narrow ankles and a wide calf, plus a high saddle bone (cuneiform or midfoot bone) makes my selection very, very small. Most would give too much space to the ankles, making the boot feel like it's coming off, no matter how much it is tightened. Others would simply compress my foot until it turns blue. This is the first boot I've tried that has a dedicated ankle tightening harness, and from what I can tell so far, it fits like a snug glove, which is what I want. The saddle bone seems to be a bit tight, so I'm unsure how that will play out, but for $200, it's cheap enough of a boot that I can overlook it.

I was concerned because I didn't get these molded to my feet before riding. There was very minimal rubbing and they broke in nicely. I love the lock on the side, it makes it easier to get in and out and to get a secure and comfy fit. My son already wants to steal these. My feet and calves feel great after 5hrs of riding.

This was meant to be a Christmas gift, and the packaging completely ruined the experience. I would rather focus on the actual product quality, but the condition of the packaging needs to be mentioned. When I opened the Amazon box, the shoe box inside was ripped and torn, as if it had been chewed up by mice. I don’t understand how either DC Shoes or Amazon allowed it to be shipped like this. This was my first purchase from DC Shoes, and the first impression was a big disappointment. The boots themselves look very decent, but the damaged packaging took away from what should have been a special gift. Because of this experience, I don’t think I’ll be buying another product from them. First impressions matter.

These are nice. There’s all kinds of different feedback on size and fit, but I wear 11 1/2 shoe and these size 11 boots are a perfect fit. They are very comfortable.
