8" Dual ported subwoofer Box 37-Hz

Product update. This isn’t for you if you want to hear more lows. I have jl w7 8s in the box and I’ve been listening to tons of music over the last about 2 weeks since i got the box and it’s just more and more disappointing each time. I heard someone else’s set up at a gas station with one 8w7 in a custom built box specifically for those subs and i was so impressed on how not only it seemed to hit every note that this box hit but it got impreeeeessively low. It really sounded like a single 12 and that’s what i expected to get from these speakers from all the reviews I’ve read over the years about them. Box is going in the trash and I’m coughing up the 700$ they told me for a custom build box with plexiglass and lights and also going with a blow through so i get the sound i heard can come from these speakers with a cool look. Having a good amp and good speakers is just a waste of you have the wrong box.

When I first purchased this box my intentions were to get some powerful bass in my Mountaineer while still keeping my third row up. I had a Kicker Comp R setup with an oldschool 600 watt Pyramid amp it sounded decent for what it was, but it was time for an upgrade and decided to slap two 4ohm Sundown Audio X-8 V3's (800 Watts RMS) in the box and I can't even explain how ridiculous it sounds! Originally, the subs would not fit in the box so i did have to take some time out to sand both holes to allow enough room to get the magnet through as well as making sure the wires wouldnt get pinched and the basket wouldn't get stuck. These subwoofers are completely underpowered they are wired together to get a 1ohm final impedance. They are being powered by a Kicker CXA800.1 Class D Mono amplifier @ 1ohm and the SPL is so intense that you feel it everywhere in your body. There's no need for all those giant subwoofers and huge box setups, you really only need a set of 8" Subs, this box and a killer amp that can push and you've got yourself one hell of a setup that you can be proud of! I added a video of them playing and recommend wearing headphones to hear everything better and any distortion heard is from the phone being unable to pick up the bass clearly. Full setup: two Sundown Audio X-8 V3 8's Wired Together @ 1ohm 1600 Watts RMS, one 10 Farad Planet Audio Capacitor, one Kicker CXA800.1 @ 1ohm 800 Watts RMS and Certified Basshead Big 3 Wire Kit 0 Gauge OFC. Plans to change the amp in the future as I am looking for more power, but before that the alternator must be upgraded as well as the wiring kit. Plans to do 0 gague OFC power and grounds.

Fell in love with the box as soon as I hooked everything up and started to play some music...I most definitely gonna get another but this time for3 8” subs in the near future really love and enjoy this box...and would recommend this product to all my friends and family that are in to bass just like me.thanks again for a very well built box I swear I’m in love with it!!!good job on building box’s like this guys...tattally satisfied...

If the speaker openings were a little farther away these would not have that slight boomy sound @ 60 to 80 HZ, yet it does the job well so far.

Great sound & deep base. I have 2 CT Sounds Tropo 8" subs in it and it hits very hard. I am very pleased. Ground Shaker is true to its name!

Much more bass with a ported box very happy! Two 8W7 AE JL Audio subs clean look and fit nice in my 2011 Corvette!

Very well built box and great sound also looks great. I bought 2 and have installed them in my car and SUV. Just changed. I out both in my car
