Excellent Toy
This is an excellent toy - key word is TOY. Some of the negative reviews seem to expect professional level projection, but you need to keep in mind this is a child's art toy and have reasonable expectations. And perhaps some work better than others, but ours works very well. You draw your image on the screen with the markers included and project onto the wall or ceiling. When you turn out the lights, the image is very bright. These are NOT dry-erase markers. You need to use a wet rag (or baby wipe) to wipe the marker off and then dry the screen with a dry rag or paper towel before drawing again. Our markers haven't run out of ink yet, but when they do, I'll purchase some vis-a-vis to replace them (those are the markers teachers used to use to write on an overhead projector back in the day - they wipe off with water just like these do, so I imagine those would work for this toy as well). My 5 year old son has had SO much fun with this that we've already bought it as birthday gifts for some of his friends.

Sturdy
If I could 3.5☆ it I would. It is incredibly dull. The markers don't show up well at all. I'm pretty disappointed in this overall. It's idea is cool, execution not so much. It isn't terrible, just not what I had hoped or would have expected from Crayola. It is pretty sturdy, AND the markers are stored conveniently. You have to use water to wipe it clean, had to go over it 2x and that was after 5 or 10 minutes top so if the design sits for too long I could see it being a pain to remove. Also, once the markers run out it isn't recommended to use dry erase markers or other types so I'm not sure what the plan would be.

Pros and cons
Pros: it does work. It lights up. The markers work. There is a storage section for the markers for safe storage.Cons: the light it incredibly dim. It is as if it was a real flashlight and we put actual paper over it to show a drawing to be projected - that’s the only way I can really describe how dim it is. It says you can only use these markers (annoying - because you only have a few colors and if you lose them....). It has one knob to move it and while it does change the size very little, it seems like a design flaw the way it was set up. It is almost more of a focusing tool... but because the light is so dim, it makes it hard to see to focus anyway. We got this for my son to play with (not for a nightlight like some suggested). And he has played with it once or twice. It’s not bad.... but I really had high hopes for it despite the other reviews.

Fun for everyone!
I bought one for each of my 3 kids thinking they wouldn’t work well, be to dim, kids would get bored etc because of others reviews- plus they were on sale and my kids are at that age where they could be to old (11,9,4) but these things are awesome. The kids play with them each night, draw (write insults about each other to laugh at and make up stories) and project them on the walls for fun. Plus they are excited to use them as night lights and camping as flash lights for each of them. It only comes with 3 color markers so I thought they would be disappointed but they are loving them, Well worth what I paid and so happy I took the risk to get them!

Like but don’t love
We use this as a night light. I thought my kiddo would have fun drawing pictures and erasing it but she hasn’t really changed the drawing. I like how the pens are stored with the light. As other reviewers have mentioned it’s not that bright but you do get a decent image, however the zoom does not work great. It works as described so I guess I shouldn’t complain. Not a great toy but at least a decent one.

3*
Daughter was playing with it and it’s very dull lighting doesn’t project far (you have to be against wall you want it projected to and it’ll work. Can’t be in middle of room and project to wall WONT WORK)

Fun little toy.
My little one really liked it. We used it to play camping in the living room. I wish the light was a bit brighter though.
