Q: what powers the charger?

Typical USB via wall outlet or PC - does take 10-12 hours to power up the first time. I only use in one ear and have charged both. So far have not had to charge either - probably using one or other about 5 hours a day for past 5 days.

Q: Is this aid suitable for severe to profound hearing loss?

I bought those few months ago tried them and they are great my hearing isn't real bad but those aids I only needed number 1 on the volume to me best set 8 ever bought hope this helps

Q: where can I purchase Smaller ear plugs? I need maybe a 6,7 or 8mm size; really not sure but the ones that came with it are too big.

I am not sure of the actual sizes. I buy these for my mother whose ears are extremely small. So I look for pediatric sizes. There are several different sizes that come with these amplifiers. On the whole, when I look for amplifiers, I always add pediatric to my search so as to hopefully have smaller ear “plug” options.
