My favorite hot sauce. It is extremely hot so definitely a dab will do ya. Best part is it doesn't overtake the natural flavor of your food. Your food still has its flavor with added heat.

“Atomic!” Promised my newly purchased bottle of hot sauce. “Explosively Hot!” “Radioactive!” I barely flinched. Sure, this stuff was no Cholula, but I was expecting the full Chernobyl experience. I was prepared for my stomach to be glowing in a vibrant green hue as promised on the packaging. After penning a letter of complaint to the makers of this ‘hot’ sauce and attaching a photograph of my regular boring pink stomach area as proof of their false advertising, I turned to Amazon in the search for something that lived up to its billing. After a few clicks I found a link to Dave’s Ultimate Insanity Sauce. Let me back up a second to give some perspective here. My wife tried the aforementioned ‘Atomic’ sauce and turned bright red. My four year old ran to the bathroom in tears, and my six month old son wouldn’t stop crying for hours after I mixed it with his milk. Supposedly I have a high tolerance for heat. Anyhow, upon receiving my new Insanity sauce I poured out a teaspoon for myself in order to determine the right level to give my young children, ensuring I did not cross the line from character building to all out abuse. Big mistake. This stuff lives up to its billing. It’s hot, it’s insane. It’s not just mouth hot, it’s entire body consuming. Every appendage was tingling, my toes were sweating, my heartless wife laughed and took a video on her iphone. This stuff is the real deal. Take it from a real hot sauce lover. I do use this stuff as a dip for things like pizza, but we are talking a tiny dip for big flavor. Is great mixed into chili and other sauce-based food. It actually has great, smoky flavor that adds to a dish. Great stuff.

I put this in the category of 'super spicy sauces' - but - I don't think it is by any means too spicy. Flavor isn't too bad, a sort of smoky tomato base flavor. More than anything, the heat comes through. This is pretty good for spicing up soups, chilies, etc. However, not really all that good for spicing up a sandwich or something, not because it is too hot, just don't care for the flavor that much 'straight up.' All said, this is better than your average 'super spicy' sauce. Most seem to just have the awful capsaicin extract flavor (and nothing else), which to me is inedible due to the terrible taste, not even the heat. Dave's really isn't bad, but not my favorite either.

This is the sauce that started it all , haven't bought it in over 25 years , used alot of this back in the day in my chili , glad I was able to order it , love this on my eggs everyday , a dab will do ya , the bottle says one drop but I like about four or five for some extra kick , good price
