Not as shown in the picture. The TireFlys in the picture are the aluminum "pro" model. The TireFlys I received were all-plastic standard models. They work fine, they're just not the ones pictured.

Mostly. That is, unless you encounter a maniac behind the wheel. But let's not think about that. Let's also not think about the Walking Dead either because I'm sure they are also attracted to shiny, blinking lights rather than as human beings who realize that's a bike rider and to keep a safe distance. I digressed, so what?These are convenient for the kids to keep in their pocket. Remind them to put in on their bikes at dusk during their excursions. Yes, they look fancy on motorcycles and cars too.The batteries last for months depending on use. They are easy enough to replace, but be careful with the internal mechanisms. you must be extremely observant of how they are placed when you screw it back together or the motion activation will not work.

After reading quite a few negative reviews, I decided to give Tireflys a chance. Bad decision! I should have researched this item a bit further. Had I noticed that they were made in China, I definitely would NOT have purchased them!!! One would NOT light up until I slightly unscrewed it and then screwed it back together. Then to top them off, their intensity was at opposite ends of the light spectrum. The straw that broke the camel's back was when after finally getting them both to flash; they did that unendingly, or so it seemed! One flashed over 12 hours continuously and the other over 14 hours, when I gave it up and went to bed. So I figured that when I actually would want them to flash, (under my professional dancing high heels) the batteries would probably be weak or dead. So back to Amazon/China they go!!! Amazon-get more high quality merchandise MADE IN AMERICA, please!

Bought these for my bicycle tires. Had to buy adapters for my Presta valves to fit regular -American- Schrader valves. No fault of these lights, just the mountain bike rims are supposed to be like every other foreign wheel out there...These lights will make you much more visible during night rides! And who can argue flashing Red White & Blue!Have fun-

Of the two that came in the package one does not work.

You have to be kidding me! I received a 2 tireflys loose (in operational mode) in a random jewelry box for earrings. No sign of any manufacturer packaging. Once I took off the cover, one of the tireflys was flashing (as they arrived battery activated). And the other tirefly was completely dead... probably from constantly running! I'm not sure if this was a return that slipped by customer service or what.

Do not turn on with bicycle unless you hit a bump. I thought they worked by rotation only
