It just doesn't get better than this
Smallest, and most versatile EDC light I own. Waterproof, tailstanding, GITD clicky, 14500/AA compatible, 6 modes, and that low-low-profile. It just doesn't get better than this. Bought this in the Neutral White, and Cool White LED colors for different situations and to ensure I had a backup. A must buy for a flashlight beginner or enthusiast.

Pity, since it is Pretty
The 2013 EagleTac D25A Clicky TI Titanium flashlight is a handsome little beast. And when it worked, threw out an impressive near flame of light.Less than 3 weeks of EDC clipped to the cargo pocket on my pants and "Its dead, Jim". I'm not in the military or any other hard use occupation. The light was babied and coddled, getting more use for the very occasional test than illuminating dark corners and never dropped. Changing batteries and other minor fiddling yields nothing (there aren't any user serviceable parts to the D25A).The half dozenĀ BBQbuy@7w 300lm Mini Cree Led Flashlight Torch Adjustable Focus Zoom Light Lamp $6 straight from Hong Kong aluminum, twice the diameter lights I bought through Amazon a couple months back are doing fine, so I question the value of the pricey EagleTac, or at least their QC.There is a far stronger motivation to write a negative review than when I was happy with my new purchase (I wasn't going to bother then), still, there is literally nothing to see here, move along.

Product failed; seller did not
The light I ordered (2013 EagleTac D25A Clicky Ti) only worked a relatively short time. It simply quit working one day. However, the seller (Performance Outdoor Gear from Morrisville, NC) stepped right up and made it right. They offered assistance with navigating the return process; offered suggestions on resetting the light (nothing worked) and then suggested I return the light. While it worked, the light was great--lightweight, bright, worked with a readily-available AA battery and had a great light profile. All that went south, however, when the light failed for, as far as I could see, no apparent reason. I checked product reviews and other information before buying and felt I had purchased one of the best lights available. I know sometimes things just happen and I presume that all it is with this light. I also am sure that the replacement light will deliver as advertised. This light, however, is on its way back to NC and I am sure Max and Jeff will make it right. The product fell short; Max and Jeff did not.

A beautiful but worthless paperweight
Loved this light! Loved it so much that I kept it on my desk, admiring it craftsmanship and beauty, never leaving the house. Literally the fifth time I turned it on it was dead, tried two different fresh batteries, tested the batteries but no luck. Now if I turn on the light it occasionally flickers on but once you turn it off it won't come back on. This was the most money I've ever spent on a AA flashlight and I was happy to do so but now it's junk and I can't bring my self to throw away. I did check on the Eagletac website it is under warranty but I didn't buy on Amazon and threw away the receipt months ago so I guess that's not an option. You may want to save your money until a newer version comes out

Better than any maglight.
Awesome little light. The highest setting is brilliant for a single AA battery. I have had it for a week or two with no issues. I do wish the clip was a little tighter gripping (I put it on a thin belt). And I do wish there was a better intermediate light level. The highest setting to one down is something of a drop, although I am not sure if that is only because I haven't activated the second cycle of settings.I would recommend this product to a friend.

Best single AA light available at this writing
The write up for this light is incorrect and its a shame because some have probably passed on it not realizing they just walked away from a great one! The part where it says the 3.7 volt lithium ion will direct drive the bulb is simply not so with this new model. This 2013 D25A clicky in titanium uses every function it has to offer you and its a great light because of this. It throws better than the PA10 by Jetbeam, has a better throw than the BA20 two AA model also and overall it is just a better light than the PA10 much as liked it when it first came out. While the D25A clicky is not quite as floody as the D25A twisty which I also have in ti, but with the XM-L U2 LED it throws better by quite a bit. This original twisty I have been using is a fine light but putting the 3.7 v in it and you get one function, bright. The twisty gets hotter and due to the fact it is a twisty you can be burned much easier with it of course so there is that to be concerned with as it gets hot hot! ON the new 2013 model EagleTac has fixed the issue, and based on what I'm seeing here not only with the heat but with allowing all the same functions even with the much more powerful battery being used. This is what we all complained about and its great to finally get what we were all wanting at an affordable price! I do not know the actual lumens output here using the 3.7 A&Ws I have. It does not seem as bright as the twisty in the same model in my opinion but you won't be complaining about that because it is still quite impressive offering that wow factor even with Eneloops in it.In short the light will love your Eneloops by Sanyo and its going to make maximum use of them unlike these others listed that I also own with one exception in the other Twisty model by Eagletac which also seems to like the Eneloops. I don't understand how or why with these EagleTac lights and these Eneloop batteries but some lights just don't like the Eneloops and its like a compromise to use them. For example if you want to be in for a shock use the Eneloops in the JetBeam PA10 you will be very disappointed both with brightness levels and battery life. I know I was as that light will kill these batteries in seemingly no time flat. Not the case with this new ET light or the other twisty available from ET. They have something over these others for efficiency is all I can figure. For me this light here replaces all these others I own which go like this. I have the Peak El Capitan, I like this one by EagleTac better for the button function and throw as well as brightness. I have the original ET twisty in ti.. I believe that this new D25A is the best you can hope for for a mere $70. I'd have to conclude after owning it that if you want to use lithium ion 3.7 volt rechargable batteries its a must have because you can't find many others out there this good that are titanium that use these and offer strobe, and low, med, high settings. Any feature offered with regular alkaleak batteries or Eneloops is available using 3.7v batteries with it. The button glows in the dark, it has reversible pocket clip options and while just a bump longer than the original twisty I bought first I like it much better. Oh, the threads seem deeper and the gold plated parts inside are a plus and knurling add to this. Speaking of the knurling that too seems deeper and a bit more grippy. So in concluding this quick review the new D25 Clicky seems to be polished up compared to the first twisty that came out in ti from ET.One thing for sure. My old fave is replaced. Its far better than the PA10 as already stated both for size and battery options and usage as well as life of the battery juice and the fact that it can not only use Eneloops but likes them is a real benefit in my book. The only area the JetBeam beats this light is in the momentary on function which to be honest is missed some. I do wish the momentary on was available at times without the need of the full click but I've learned to live without it since it offers so much over the others its not even funny. I have the Peak Logan and I like this new D25 clicky better by far for the clip and the weight diff (I have the stainless model) and I have the Streamlight PT1A which is almost an antique compared to these lights. Not even in the same league really. Hard to believe I said that tho, as I love that light and it was the one that started it all for me. I have a couple Fenix lights all using AA batteries which is all I really buy most of the time. With that said tho, even the Logan with a CR123 battery is not throwing quite as far as this light by ET does. Its also not as floody for the beam compared to the D25 so overall the D25 just beats it out and when you stop to consider it takes two hands to turn on the Logan or El Capitan or the original Twisty by ET well, this new one really starts to shine.Buy this light. You'll see it later in someone else's hands and note how good it is, or you'll read about it and they will be gone making you just wish you did get one while you could have and you'll thank me once you own it. If a single AA is your fancy this is the light to beat in 2013 based on what I've seen and played with myself. I think it is also one of the more attractive models available too as the Zebra light that compares and some of the others while equally as bright or maybe brighter, as efficient and comparable all around are beat out by the overall appearance, options and presentation for this light. I might add that even the paper work that comes with this light is incorrect for the functions as the only place I have found it accurately listed is on the ET website where it says and I quote from the web site since this is what should be stated here in this ad."D25A runs for 150+ hours on its lowest brightness level. The current regulated circuit design allows constant output throughout its runtime for all output levels without PWM-flicking.At highest brightness level, D25A current regulates for 1.3 hours using a single Sanyo Eneloop AA battery. The current regulation control method allows the just right of amount of current going through the LED. This results in constant brightness output regardless of battery type, LED variation, and temperature change."STR
