Works as it should. Very easy to install. Clean stainless design and easy filter cleaning. Installed it without a duct still works good.

I liked that this fan was quiet and it does appear to be efficient and does look good when installed... But it does have some design issues that need to be fixed, when you install the system in order to have it work well. 1. There is a flap lever that is on the fan assembly, that actually opens up the fan to venting the smoke back into the room (unvented). So if you are venting out the back or up out of the top, you will notice just a small amount of air slipping past the flap, as the flap does not seal well... So if you are venting out the top or back, you could simply use duct tape to seal it off and have all the air go out of the home (you can get inside the air housing to do this by unscrewing 3 small screws that hold the fan motor to the housing and twisting the fan assembly slightly to the left and it falls out) 2. You will notice that after you pull the fan motor out, you can get to the the inside and calk around to seal the air from getting past the housing and it will help all the air go out of the home, instead of getting back into the kitchen (now well sealed like the noisy ones I have had in past, but its totally easy to seal with some calking). 3. The other draw back, is that the fan pulls the air in from just off right of center, so more draft gets pulled from the right burners than from the left side. If it bothers you, you could make your own damper above the aluminum filters to slow the flow on the right side, just a bit. After we got it sealed up and installed, we do like it, much more than the old noisy teeth rattler. Good Luck!

I bought another brand that looked identical to this one and fought with it so much we replaced the other Ciearra brand one four times before I gave up and bought one of these Firegas brand hoods. Super easy installation, and looks awesome and has three variable fan speeds. For $100 you can't beat it!

Looks and works great. Light is much better than old standard hoods.

Adequate but not perfect. I can only compare it to my old vent hood that was white and I needed black to match my new stove. It would have been nice if the exhausted vent was a little more centered. The fan is very loud and the lights are not as bright as my Old unit. They were LED too. Airflow is just so so. You get what you pay for. It’s worth all I paid for it. Looks good

Brought this to replace a old unit. This unit is not a true 36" it will leave a small 3/8 gap on each side underneath a 36 " cabinet. The 6" rear discharge is smaller than the existing 10"( more typical) vent. Other than not matching up to the old mounting holes, it was easy to install,look good, quite. Lights are bright. If it's holds up I'm very pleased.

Maybe I was expecting too much out of a $100 range hood, but if you do a paper test, the left side of the hood doesn't suck up anything. It's only the right side of the hood (where the single fan is)... I returned them
