The lamp is assembled like almost all floor lamps of this style are. It's not rocket science. The shades are just the right color to enhance and soften the light, while not blocking it. I'm not sure that that makes sense, but you'll just have to trust me on it or return it, whichever lol. It really is beautiful. I have smart bulbs in it and it's great with most everything

My first experience having to put together a floor lamp. I recommend that this is a job for 2 people. It went together fairly easy, but was awkward for one person. The instructions were typical in that there were pictures, but not a lot of real instruction. (Oh, for the old days!) The metal finish is true to description and very pretty, and the shades are an amber tint glass. I was looking for something a bit out of the ordinary and this is a very pretty and practical floor lamp.

This lamp is very heavy, so won't tip easily like some other floor lamps. Love the leaf details and the separate reading light. The lamp was easy to assemble and seems to be solid and sturdy. I think my lamp may have been missing one of the leaves, but it's really not noticeable because of the design. That is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5

After assembly (there is quite a lot) the lamp did not turn on. Upon checking I found that a wire inside the socket assembly was detached and could have come in contact with the metal lamp frame, causing serious electrical shock or fire hazard. For this price, not what I expected. Fortunately I could fix it myself, but I needed a voltage meter and some skill to do it Lamp came in multiple parts in one well-protected package, but the styrofoam used broke into tiny bits when handled and clung to our clothes, hair, and garage floor. I don't think this stuff was environmentally friendly. That said, the lamp is good looking and has a very heavy and stable base. The twig design mostly is on one side, so the lamp should be placed against a wall. Some stickers on it (UL approval?) had been torn off, leaving sticky residue that I had to remove with acetone. Quite a lot of bother for this much money.

This lamp looked exactly how I expected it to, with less assembly time necessary than many of the low reviews led me to believe it would take, and all parts fit together well. The lamp I got is really nice and I'm very happy with the purchase. However, be careful not to drop the tiny little screw that comes in the plastic bag. It's so tiny that I didn't even realize it was a workable part until I looked at the directions. It's so tiny that I dropped it and never found it, which means a "branch" that sits at the back of the lamp is not affixed securely. But that's only a concern if I move the lamp. Otherwise it's fine.

The lamp itself is pretty but it was just too poor crappily made for $130. I pretty much used up my entire vocabulary of swears trying to get the flipping set screw in the holes of the twig and the twig holder. It's this tiny little half of a screw (I thought that the other screw in the bag had broken when I first opened it) but no its an 4mm screw of Satan. It took some muscles just to get the twig into the twig holder and then the two holes for putting this screw in seemed far too small for the screw. Plus the tiny Allen wrench they give you, is just a tad too big for the screw so everytime you try to screw it in, it just falls to the ground. I recommend working on hard wood because the carpet just swallows it up. After about 30 min and trying to widen the hole of the twig holder, I got it in but still never flush with the lamp. Then the upper big glass shade didn't fit well, the branches create too small of a gap so you have to pull the branches out in order for it to sit flush and the socket screw doesn't screw all the way down so the shade is a bit wiggly on it. And the lower shade's socket felt like it was made of coarse sandpaper and the socket ring for it was really cheaply made. It took four tries to get it threaded on correctly and screwing it in was a chore and made this awful sound trying to thread it over a sandpaper socket. Also the base is not level so I'd put it in a corner or against something and keep pets and kids from it. But at least it does work so it gets the second star.

This is one gigantic lamp. The size shocked me. Still, it's beautiful and easily put together. I had none of the problems that some reviewers have noted. It stands straight. All the leaves were there and so forth. Just make sure that you don't accidentally toss the two small screws and two wrenches to tighten them that are packed separately. The larger screw is inserted into the hole between the two pieces of pole after they have been screwed together and is tightened with the larger wrench. The small screw and wrench are for attaching one of the branches to the branch holder--five minutes work for the mechanically un-inclined. Not at all a bad look, especially when paired with the matching. smaller lamp also made by Kenroy. Mine are in a mid-century modern room with neutral earth tones and the lamps liven things up quite a bit.

This is my 2nd lamp like this- Love the leaves design, great in my sunroom of plants and windows looking out- Easy to assemble and for me, the lighting is in the right place- top and /or chair height for reading- Goes great with our wood walls and casual theme! My other one is on my enclosed porch, also for same reasons- So happy to find another- My first one I bought 3 years ago- No problems!
