My son loved this toy!
I was amost put off buying this toy after reading the reviews but so glad I wasn't. My son got this for his seventh birthday and he was overjoyed. It has the buttons , lights and everything a mad doctor who fan would want. Agreed, it won't stand up to a lot of bashing and I'm not sure I'd pay the £40 that it's priced at in most places, but for under £27 it has to be the ultimate dr who gift!!

BOUGHT FROM AMAZON,MY GRANDSONS LOVED THIS TOY,LOOKS HARD WEARING BUT UNLESS IT'S COVERED UP OR PUT AWAY AFTER PLAYING THEN I CAN ONLY SEE THIS AS A DUST COLLECTOR.

Fiddly to put together
Took ages to assemble and then had to keep reassembling. Ok toy but not worth the money, as are most toys of the moment.

More pieces missing than expected from description
Description implied little was missing whereas all small parts, the door, the ramp, the guardrails and some of the floor panels were all missing so about 30% was not there

Its the Tardis! Woo!
I would agree with most of the comments made by other reviewers. This an incredibly delciate and fiddly thing to assemble. Its also extremely fragile. I would not really recommend this as a child's plaything, it just wont stand up to the rigors of children's play. As a model kit or adult collectable, its fine. Character have done an exceptional job in realising Doctor Who in toy form, and the level of detail and care they put into their product is never more evident than here. I am really pleased with this, especially as its going for the bargain price of £12.99! I would rate it higher, but for Character's intended market its not that suitable.

Very detailed; not robust
Good fun for age groups 6-9 I'd say; takes about 1/2 hr to set it up - not massively robust - keep toddlers away! Great sound effects (but poorly detailed in the manual).
