First, it's pretty. It heats up quickly and curls nicely. It is smooth with a cord that swivels and not get twisted up. The problem I have with it is that my fingers keeps hitting the power switch. Many times it cools down while using it, without my knowledge. But I love it and highly recommend.

I bought this curling iron because I wanted a slightly bigger barrel to achieve wavy curls on my medium length bob. I loved the color and the ceramic barrel. The price was great also. However, I curled my hair a few times and the curls or waves simply will not hold. I have done it at various heat settings, clean hair, with a little product, and sprayed hair spray after setting and no matter what by the time I finish everything is flat and almost straight. For reference, I have naturally wavy hair and my previous curling iron worked perfectly and curls stayed well. My hair will curl and hold very easily typically but no matter what I've tried it just will not with this iron. My hair isn't thin or super thick. I just don't get it.

I had originally bought the 1 1/2" wand of the same brand but it didn't work well for my just above the shoulder length hair, it barely made any curls. I exchanged it for this one and it works much better. I'm sure it would work even better on a bit longer hair but this one gives me large curls at the ends. This is my first curling wand and II was looking for something inexpensive since I'm a beginner and wasn't sure if it would work well on my hair. I have fine hair so I don't need a lot of heat and it does the job well, I set it to about medium temperature and hold it for 10 seconds. Good wand for beginners at least.

The cord plug is thin and not expected quality. Not recommended. Better to pay double/triple for good quality product.

It works very well. And my hair barely ever holds a curl unless I use a wand. This one curls my hair very well and lasts for the most part!! Great product for the price!
