Works great as a LM61 replacement
I had tried a different LM 61 replacement remote before I found these, and the first ones did not work at all, so I was skeptical about trying these. I am so glad I did! These remotes are an ideal replacement for anyone who can not find the original style garage door opener with the dip switch. So easy to program and fit perfectly on our visor. I just bought two more to replace our other old units.

Each dip switch has 3 positions, not 2
This works great with my 61LM Lift Master garage door opener, circa1987. When matching the dip switches, note that each switch has 3 positions, not 2. It is not just on or off. It is subtle to see that there are 3 positions when looking at the tiny switches and also easy to push right through the intermediate position when moving the switches. I would have saved time and aggravation if I had realized this sooner!

This "Stinger" brand transmitter worked for my old gate.
I purchased a Liftmaster in the past and received a 61LM Liftmaster. I went to my old orders and clicked "Order again" expecting another Liftmaster remote. Instead I received the "Stinger" remote pictured in the photo I attached. I understand its my fault for not interpreting the "=" used in the sellers ad to recognize I would be getting a "Stinger" transmitter and not a Liftmaster. Nonetheless, I think the ad could be more clear. Anyway, The Stinger remote does work so the remote itself gets 5 stars. It came with a battery and a visor clip. Just match the tiny switches in the Stinger to the position of the tiny switches in your Liftmaster remote to make the Stinger work.I knock off 1 star because the ad says Liftmaster and has a picture of the Liftmaster, and the description says:Product Description:Liftmaster 61LM Single button For use on older units with Gray, White or Yellow learning buttons. However, the product being sold is a Stinger, not a Liftmaster - so I found the ad confusing.

I cannot believe I found a remote for my prehistoric garage door opener.
I have a crazy old 1/3 hp sears Craftsman opener that is still kicking. This works great, even connected to my Homelink in my car. Not joking. Ordered a second. Fast shipping too.

Finally!!!! It works.
After ten years of manually opening the door I have a working garage door!!! Just make sure your exact unit matches the description.

Picture is not what you’re buying
The product works perfectly and programs easily however; what you see is not what you get. Read the description carefully.
