The look of the blue and gold popper is very stylish and looks great in my living room. It has a sturdy build but the functionality is a little disappointing. We had a Great Northern Popcorn Popper previously, which we had to replace because we wore it out. We went with this one because of the price point, but we don’t think it works as good. It will make decent popcorn but we are having issues with popcorn getting stuck under the turning bar and jamming up causing us to have to turn the popper off and a majority of the popcorn is not getting popped. We are going to try different things to solve this problem but wish it worked as flawlessly as our previous one. The interior is a lot smaller than our older one yet has a bigger kettle so does need some ingenuity on getting the oil and popcorn in without burning yourself.

My husband LOVED this as his Father's Day gift. My son and I put it together pretty easily until the very end when we had to call my husband in for reinforcement. One side of the base where the actual popper case sits in snug had been bent before we received it. It didn't seem like it would be too much to make an impact on assembly, but it was. My husband had to use plyers and a mallet to push the piece out enough to drop the case in. This imperfection does show on the outside. But it didn't bother us enough to send it back. It also doesn't get in the way of functionality. So, we just deal with it. There was a bit of a learning curve for use at the beginning. But they figured out the errors in their ways and have been able to perfect their process.

Cute popcorn machine. I bought the 8oz kettle, but when I used a pre-measured popcorn making kit specifically for 8oz kettles, it completely jammed up the popcorn kettle. Instead of the popcorn coming out the kettle as it cooks, it seems like it all gets trapped in the kettle and burns on the bottom. It might work better if you use pre-packaged popcorn kits for 6oz kettles instead.

Love the popcorn maker. The only Complaint I have is this: the screws for the door were not in there. So I had to purchase them. Which isn’t a problem but the hardware stores have a lot of screws to choose from so I was there for a bit! Besides that I love the machine. It’s great! Like going to the movies and having buttered popcorn.
