The Original Pink Flamingos: Splendor on the Grass

I bought this as a replacement for an earlier purchase. One of my friends laughed so hard at the photos that I gave her the book. I liked them so much I bought myself another copy.If you are into tacky pink plastic flamingo art, this book is for you. Tacky is the operative word. Don't look for any of the photos here to be hanging in the National Museum of Art, or the Louvre. These are just plain FUN.The photos depict lighthearted scenes using the ubiquitous plastic pink flamingo. How about eight of them with tree branches for antlers, pulling a sleigh? I'm in the holiday spirit just looking at that one!

I read it for the first time in the company of a friend and we giggled. Both products are eligible for free shipping, so the combined price made for a very reasonable total. If you're into the kitsch of it all, this book is a must-have!

Totally my bad! I thought I was getting a set of two plastic flamingos!!! Imagine my surprise to find a book in the package! Haha jokes on me. Cute book anyway!!

I ordered the wrong item and thought I was actually going to get a set of two flamingos to use as a gag gift. I was shocked when a book about flamingos arrived, but the book is in almost new condition so I guess I'll just give the book as a gag gift.

This salmon color is more masculine and exactly what I want in the yard. The pink, is too pink and embarassing for me.

I thought I was ordering plastic yard flamingos and got a book instead. The book was actually OK so we just decided to keep it instead of dealing with a return.Note to self: Don't try to order on Amazon after 6 beers.

Brings back memories of seeing some of the flamingos while on vacation in some small towns, as well as different movies that would also have them in the scenes.
