Air Wick Spray V.I. Poo Odour Remover Lemon Scent Idol 55ml – Pack of 3

Like most people, I saw VIPoo first online, probably while scrolling Facebook. My first thought was 'is this real? This can't be real,' bearing in mind the UK has been very shy about promoting anything to do with the call of nature in our adverts (if you don't believe me, look up the first time Britain showed an actual toilet pan in an advert - prior to about 1960, it was customary to show only the cistern; the actual pan itself was far too close for comfort, apparently, for our sensitive consumers!)Anyway, I was curious, so I proceeded to buy a bottle from a local store - the Fruity Pin Up one. Truthfully, I didn't expect it to work. I was wrong. Essentially, when you feel the call of nature, you can spray this into the toilet pan (around 5 sprays) and you will find that on...ahem...completing your task, there is no nasty whiff afterwards!I've since tried every scent, and Fruity Pin Up is still my favourite. The Lemon Idol smells like a toilet cleaner (albeit a nice one), the Lavender one smells like coconut and the Rose one, for some reason, smells like baby powder. None of these are bad smells, by the way - they're all very nice and work well, but I personally prefer the Fruity Pin Up, which smells, as you would guess, like berries.Now, there is one point of contention - the price. Some people would argue that in this time of growing prices, a glorified air freshener is not worth £6 each. I completely understand - these sprays usually retail for about that much in a supermarket. Having worked it out, though, this pack of sprays works out at £3.50 a spray, thereabouts, which in my mind is good value for money because 1) it's nearly half price compared to the ones in supermarkets and 2) a good air freshener isn't as effective, and in some stores might cost about the same. With these sprays, you don't need air freshener (unless you just prefer to have that too, no shame in that).In case you're wondering - yes, you get a pack of 6, not a 'single' spray, for the price. The title is a little confusing. But rest assured, they look to be genuine and come in an actual retail box with the brand and a little yellow tray (like the ones they come in at the store). They even have little 'security protected' stickers on them!So yes, not an essential item, per se. They don't keep the toilet clean or provide any other benefit other than making the toilet smell nice, but given that's all you would buy an air freshener for (and, in my opinion, these are a lot more effective) I don't have any complaints. They're a little expensive, but if you want a solution for guests using your loo or for yourself when visiting friends or using a communal loo, there isn't a better solution. I find that having this in my bag makes me feel so much better when using a friend's loo, or even my own, and prevents that feeling of 'I'll wait until I'm somewhere private' (especially if, like me, you really shouldn't wait). Yes, you could just use a toilet cleaner after going, but that assumes there is some readily available and, in my experience, this doesn't stop the smells from getting into the air all of the time.I love this product and I've gifted a bottle to many of my friends and family! I know that seems drastic, but I love it and I know they will too. I usually include it in any housekeeping bundle gifts for my aspiring Ms Hinch friends and family, or in 'New Home' bundles for friends (this, some fun air fresheners, a copy of 'Make, Mend, Save and Shine' by the Green Granny and a copy of 'How Clean is Your House?' is my go to for new home owners and renters). Since you get six, you hardly feel deprived giving one or two away, with each bottle lasting me about 6 months (with moderate use).So, is it expensive? A little. Is it a luxury I feel justified buying? Yes, usually, because of how comfortable I then feel to use the loo anywhere. Does it replace air freshener? Yes, if you want it to. Does it replace toilet cleaners or bleach? No, unfortunately you'll still have to keep up the hygiene side of it too. But in my opinion, it's worth having, as it lasts ages and saves many a red face.

Bought this off Amazon on an special offer after no longer being able to buy this in the shops any longer. Love the smell of this spray and it does such a good, quick job of disappating “poo” smell! Definitely does what it says on the bottle!

Value for money, arrived quickly,only others could tell if it works......

This freshener is extremely expensive in shops, this is why I bought it from Amazon as it only works out at £3.33 a bottle (£7 in Sainsbury's for 1 bottle) I know people scoff at this item but it is a must for all caravan/motorhome users. Works very well in confined spaces and the bottle surprisingly lasts quite a while.

Ich kenne und benutze dieses Produkt schon seit jahren da mein Partner eine recht starke ausdünstung hat wenn er aufs klo muss.Es ist absolut verlässlich und man riecht überhaupt nichts nach dem strengen geschäft ausser nach angenehmem lemon duft.Da muss man sich überhaupt nicht schämen wen gleich danach jemand auf die toilette muss.Einfach vorher 2-3 spritzer in die Schüssel sprayen und das produkt entfaltet sich von alleine.Ist bei mir auch immer auf reisen oder Ferien dabei.
