This is such an amazing outdoor camera. I love that you don’t have to remove the camera from outdoors to charge it because you have the ability to use a solar panel which works great. You are able to also move the camera around with the 360 capability so you’re able to see more around the area that the camera is mounted at. The zoom feature is great and super clear which is an added bonus. This camera definitely seems like it can last a long time through different types of weather/temperatures.

Disappointed After Power Outage – Wanview W7 Outdoor Camera At first glance, the Wanview W7 white outdoor camera looks sleek and modern – it definitely adds a stylish touch to the exterior of the house. The image quality was decent, and initial setup via the app was fairly straightforward. However, the problems started right after the first power outage. Once the power was restored, the camera failed to reconnect to Wi-Fi. Despite multiple attempts to reset the device (both soft and hard resets), it simply would not connect again. The power LED was on, so it’s clear the device is receiving power, but it becomes completely unresponsive in terms of connectivity. The camera doesn’t broadcast a setup Wi-Fi signal, nor does it respond to any of the reset actions. This is incredibly frustrating because a security camera should be reliable – especially after something as common as a temporary power cut. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting steps suggested in the manual and even reached out to support with no success. In short, while the design and initial performance are promising, the lack of automatic reconnection and the complete failure to recover from a power interruption make this product unusable for me. I can’t recommend it if you expect consistent reliability from your outdoor surveillance system.

Great customer service!! I’ve been using Wansview cameras for several years now and have been extremely happy with the overall cameras. I emailed Wansview to ask if they had a specific camera that I didn’t require WiFi. A very helpful lady named Melody replied and we began a email chain where she recommended a camera that would work for the area I needed it and answered my questions. Wansview has always had great customer service but I appreciate the extra that Melody provided.

Trying to find cellular data all the time has to reset if you unplug it the Wi-Fi model is way better

Works out of the box, and easy setup. However to use with another carrier there is a process of upgrade required

What a pain trying to figure this camera out with no instructions anywhere! Everything is trial and error using what is on the app. I still don’t understand if I have to pay for it monthly or if it will continue to take pictures and how many or how long. Contacted the company and they said they didn’t have an owners manual! Do not buy unless you like spending time trying to figure out how to use it.

Works great. Does what it's supposed to do. Alerts work great. Records to the cloud service you subscribe to 24/7 if you wish. You can speak through them and set off alarms. Has lights you can activate. Night vision works very well. Unfortunately... After two years of owning one of the w7 models, the lens went bad. Glass cleaner, alcohol, CLR or even brake fluid wouldn't clear this. I'm assuming it's plastic covering the lens? The glass on over the lights is absolutely clear as you can see from the photo. Just a warning if you plan on having weather (rain, snow, sunlight) touch this thing, this is going to eventually happen.
