Why would one pick isotonic as opposed to their other spray, which is either hypotonic or hypertonic (n't recall which)? What does it do differently?

The Isotonic NasaMist is 0.9% salinity to it matches the natural salinity in the body. Th very fine mist that is dispensed provides for short-term symptomatic relief, as well as moisturization. The Hypertonic NasaMist is triple-strength, or 2.7% salinity, so the thinking is that increased percentage of salinity draws the moisture out of the cells in the nasal passages, which acts like an all-natural decongestant.

Is this Nasamist spray different than the Pediamist spray, or are they functionally the same? The only differences I see are the volume and label.

I've used both and didn't notice any difference in how it functioned. I bought the Pediamist when I couldn't locate the other one. Hoping that helps.

No, the contents of the spray are combination of Sodium Chloride and USP-grade water.

How many spays of the saline spray need to be used before a nostril feels moist ?

You should be able to feel moisture with the first spray. The very fine mist will coat the nasal passages as you spray it.
