This system has the best filtered to waste water ratio of 3:1, which is hard to find, and which minimizes water waste. I originally bought this through Kickstarter, but purchased this version here for my home in Germany, where you can't buy this at the price point. Easy to install (you need a hole drill for metal) and the water is very pure, with only 20 ppm of minerals left (compared to 300 of the water supply), plus it removes bacteria and viruses, metals, organic traces, which means that this water doesn't go bad as quickly. Also great for my top quality lose leaf tea from Darjeeling.I bought this system to replace my spring water delivery service and compared to that, the system will amortize in about 1.5 years!I put a small rack with pull-out drawer (Housolution under cabinet organizer) around it to maximize space use.

Edit: Old review below - customer service was great and fast and with a couple tweaks I was able to secure the connection so that there was no leak. Water tastes great, slightly sweet and the fill rate is pretty fast. Enjoying having clean water without a pitcher filter on the counter.-------It took me a while to get around to installing this, but I'm seeing that the quick connects are slightly recessed in the case so when you put the bayonet clips on, they don't engage well. Apparently this is causing a continuous small leak from the clean water supply line at the quick connect where it leaves the unit. I'm not sure how to resolve this. Water tastes great otherwise. Unit is a bit noisy but I don't have it in a cabinet (not enough room) and if it was installed in a cabinet, it would be pretty minimal. I do notice that if I put light pressure on either side of the case, the vibration noise drops dramatically - seems like this could be low hanging fruit for improving the noise profile of the unit.

Update: most excellent customer service following the original stated concerns. Switched out the PCR filter yesterday with an amazing difference in the filtered water taste. This was confirmed with the parts per million (PPM) testing with the Viomi TDS Meter. Before changing out the filter cartridge meter reading was 222PPM reading after new cartridge installed was 31PPM! Thank you team for the great service!Easy install. The light indicator is a nice touch, but the filtering is mediocre. The single filter in the refrigerator provides better tasting water. Sad.

Cannot connect to refrigerator feed line.The pump only turns on when you turn the knob on the included faucet. The pump does NOT come on when detecting a drop in line pressure.Your refrigerator therefore cannot signal the pump to turn on and therefore gets no water. It makes this otherwise nice system kinda useless in most cases.UPDATE: Amazon's AI Assistant did in fact indicate that this product could connect to a refrigerator. I brought this to Viomi's attention. They refunded me the amount of the purchase and told me to keep the product for my trouble. Further, they worked with Amazon to update the AI Assistant response to indicate that this product CANNOT be connected to a refrigerator water inlet line or external ice maker.At the end of the day, I cannot get back the weekend I spent uninstalling my Whirlpool WHER25 system, installing the Viomi system, then uninstalling the Viomi system and reinstalling the Whirlpool system with new filters and a re-pressurized tank. I also made modifications to the underside of the countertop to accommodate the Viomi faucet which meant I had to order a new air-gap RO faucet for $71.31 ($65.80 + tax) to reinstall the old system.However, for roughly $100 ($72 faucet + $28 fittings and adapters from Lowe's) I now have new fittings under the sink and a countertop that will easily accommodate any RO faucet without the trouble I had this time. I also learned a lot about RO systems (with and without tanks).Viomi is also sending me a TDS water tester for my trouble and maybe I can gift the system they let me keep to a family member who does not need to connect to the refrigerator.I feel Viomi did what they could to make it right and I could tell they care about their customers. They say they have a product coming that will allow connection to a refrigerator and I look forward to it. There is no doubt that 25-minutes to purge the new Viomi system after install was so much better than the 24 hours (plus dumping 2 tanks) for the Whirlpool WHER25 system (I am 4 hours into that purge of the Whirlpool system as I write this).While this product was not for me, Viomi is the kind of company that I like to do business with. I look forward to their future products.

Didn’t know which RO water system to buy, but had limited space under the sink and wanted a front loading cartridge system so I wouldn’t have to pull the unit to access the filters each time I had to change them.Also this one looked simple to install.After drilling the hole in my granite countertop (was easier than I anticipated) the installation took about 1 hour.Plug and play.My water in Arizona is yucky. Now it’s just like drinking bottled water.Don’t know yet how long the filter and RO cartridges will last (or how much they cost) but for now this system is a real game changer in our kitchen.
