Salt-AwayMixing Unit with 6 oz Reservoir

I use this for flushing out and washing down my '99 Bennington Pontoon boat (and motor). If you are going to use some sort of salt neutralizer, you MUST get one of these - they make it really easy. Its sturdy construction, and having 'salt away,' 'rinse,' and 'off' settings are very handy (for example, I can switch from salt away to rinse instantly while flushing out the motor.I just bought a 4' section of hose (smallest I could find, essentially) and hook it to the outlet of this. then I can attach it to the engine 'muffs' or to the sprayer I use.the price is probably a tad high, but so long as you don't go bashing this thing around TOO much, then it should last just fine.

If you have a boat that gets salty or engines that need to be rinsed after salt water use, you have to have this product. One spray on a boat and all the salt is gone, including on the railings. Instead of taking 30 minutes to flush your engines you can do it in 10 minutes. Just let the salt away come out of the upper flow. You will know because it is soapy looking. Then turn it off and let it breakdown the salt until your next trip. Try it. It is pricey, but worth it. You don't use a lot each time.

Nice product. Made of hard plastic. You have to be very careful not to drop or hit it against anything solid. It will break.

The product works great in my application- flushing engine, rinsing boat and trailer. Add water pressure regulator to prevent reservoir breakage. (Read the Warning). Highly recommended to add inline shutoff valve to control water flow even more. Salt away replacement reservoir Is available just in case unlike my old mixer unit. It is well made and made in USA. It’s pricey but worth it.

Insanely cheap product being sold for way too much. This is a penny product made from cheap plastic that will leak & most-likely break quickly.

They sell them as a kit but you're paying about $22+ for the mixer in the kit. The mixer has broken on me twice. I buy tons of the stuff and need something like the mixer to simplify for two boat engines and PWC's as well. Both times its the housing unit that the reservoir fits into. Seems to crack within about a year and each time, you can kiss another $25 good-bye.I've written the company and am awaiting the reply after the second one broke without any abuse. When I get the reply I will re-post. (SEE BELOW).On the bright side - the product itself is outstanding and I highly recommend it.WELL - TIME FOR THE UPDATE:I decided to write the company using the website information without expecting much really. Normally that seems to be how things work when they break.I received an immediate / next day reply to my issue of broken mixers. The company wrote back that they are sending me TWO replacement mixers AT NO CHARGE. This is an amazing response and has turned me into a big time follower. So if yours breaks consider mentioning it to them - THis is a company that stands behind a really great product. Problem solved!!! FIVE stars!

I did not have any problems with this. Not sure why anyone would think they should be able to drop it and it would not hurt it. I have 2 new 2018 Yamaha wave runners that I take out in the Cali Pacific ocean and flush them with this unit and salt-away as soon as I pull them out. Good flow of straight water and mixed when selected. I add a pressure water fitting to the end if I want to spray the runners down but usually I just go to the coin op for that and wash the outsides down.

Very effective and easy to use

I lost the o-ring washer for my Salt Away dispenser so wrote to the manufacturer asking where I could purchase a new one. They responded saying they would send me 3 of them, free of charge. It's the small things that create loyalty. I was already a fan of Salt Away Products but now I'm a dedicated one!
