We had tub spouts in two upstairs bathrooms that dripped a lot of water through the spout even when the shower diverter was pulled due to years of buildup. At first I bought new tub hardware kits from the hardware store that were nearly $150 each, but these contained the spout, handle, valves and a new shower head. After speaking to my plumber, he recommended getting a trim kit like this so we didn't have to go behind the wall to mess with the plumbing. Unfortunately the access panels that were cut when my bathrooms were redone weren't large enough to allow easy access. I saved money buying just the trim kits and my plumber lowered his pricing to replace them since he didn't have to go behind the wall. They look nice and no more leaking.

I've been pretty happy with this product. The limited lifetime warranty was a huge win! The installation process was easy, especially the tub spout. I appreciate that it came with a retainer sleeve, a QuickConnect feature, a shower arm, and a tub spout. However, I would have liked more finish options and inclusion of a shower head. Yet, this product is definitely a good value for the price.

Purchased to update my leaking shower faucet, perfect fit and very high end looking finish. Very smooth!

I was so happy I was able to kill two birds with one stone. My shower head has been leaking for quite some time now. It kept me up at night and my water bill was higher than ever. I’m glad I read the Amazon reviews on how to replace your old dated acrylic shower knob with a new model Pfister knob. It took my plumber about two hours to install the new shower fixtures with the new valve. This is a very inexpensive way to update the look of your bathroom without having to spend a ton of money. You will need to buy the retro kit here on Amazon and you will only need the ring part. I hope this helps my fellow Amazon shoppers.

Firstly, the tub spout is plastic (-1). Second, there are virtually no instructions for replace the tub spout (-1). My original was metal. elbow pipe did not fit the original thread (-1)My old pipe was metal (not copper) that comes out of the wall about 4 in and is threaded on the end. I was hoping the new spout would be threaded in the same way. Nope. The plastic spout seems to be completely incompatible with old one. The plastic thing that is inside this new spout seems to not be removable. Cant screw it out. seems to be glued in.
