Sorbothane Unisex's Double Strike Insole

So many brands and types to choose from, so many size variations, it's a mine field and can be expensive if you don't get it right or you end up with an insole that you're really not happy with and just spoils your every step. Well, that's my thoughts when spending hours reading reviews and narrowing it down.So, I finally went for these, and I'm so glad I did. Now, we all have different views, likes and dislikes, and many shoes are different shapes and sizes but for my use and my intended boots, these couldn't be better and it's as though they are tailored to them. This is a demonstration of how different some shoes can fit. So, I'm about a size 10.5 UK. I have a pair of Berghaus walking boots which are still going strong after 10 years but after a proper clean and reproof, I decided to replace the laces and insoles. So my search began. Now any insoles would have been an improvement but I wanted the Rolls Royce of insoles to complement the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned. I settled on these, in a size 10 and laid over my old insoles they are a perfect match. So they fit a Berghaus walking boot to correct size. Now, I've also bought a brand new pair of Merrell walking boots but knowing Merrell tend to come up small on me I ordered the boots in an 11 UK size. They fit me perfectly. The insoles in the Merrell boots have quite a raised arch which I'm not really comfortable with so I decided to replace those too. I ordered a size 10 insole again, even though the Merrell boots are an 11. Again they fitted perfectly and are a massive improvement.So that's as much info as I can give on sizing, now for my view on performance: I love them, hence why I never hesitated to immediately order another pair for my new boots. They are quite deep, especially the heel. They make the ride so much more comfortable, a complete transformation. I don't know how they will be in other footwear but I can't imagine anything else this comfortable and well manufactured for walking boots.Hopefully I've helped someone with all this waffle. These double strike insoles have proven to be great value for money.Not only reliable for people with problematic feet, they have a lifespan that's unmatched.I personally have a pair in all of my footwear but found them especially helpful for walking & running.With chronic plantar fadciitis, sorbothane's ability to reduce the shock impact meant I could start walking just a few miles per day.That increased to 5 & then 10 miles,before beginning running.Taking the same cautious approach, the running has evolved from just a few miles, to the regular 10/day, something I once thought impossible.I've found buying trainers & these insoles one size larger has helped enormously. Insoles can be trimmed to the right size, an extra pair of socks added for comfort but feet do swell on longer distances so it's a matter of personal judgement.After a long walk or ten mile run, I find the use of a tennis/cricket ball to stretch the ligament responsible for heel & arch pain works well in preventing it's onset. That, some stretches for the achilles tendon & these insoles means I can now attempt 12/13 miles per day.All runners know the benefits it can bring, both physical and mental well-being.

I bought these for a pair of leather combat boots, which needed some extra support internally to improve comfort. Although by no means the cheapest option, this technology is something with which I am familiar. Other the years I have bought Sorbothane for all my training and hiking shoes and boots. The support, comfort, insulation and shock-absorption these insoles provide is the best by far. They have always fitted by footwear straight out of the box, without the need for cutting to size. They will enhance your use of any shoe or boot; put them in a cheap pair of trainers and they elevate them, add them to your best mountain boots and they improve and enhance your investment in expensive performance boots. From what I have seen (just on Amazon) the Sorbothane originals are about £5 more than a cheap copy, that is £2.50 per foot. I think your foot is worth that, don't you? I highly recommend these insoles, and will be buying more from this seller soon. BTG

I was given a great many shoe insoles to test via the Vine programme. Only one pair was excellent. I had used Sorbothane insoles in a pair of trainers many years ago to reduce the impact of running on my knees and they worked very well. I have a pair of stiff walking boots with cork footbeds which over a long period of use can become uncomfortable. I took out the Vine insoles and put these ones in. They transformed the boots overnight. They take a little bedding in, as they feel too tight, to begin with. Once the flatten slightly and mould to your foot, they become incredibly comfortable. Within a couple of days, you no longer notice you have them in your shoe. They aid your legs and feet and after a long walk, you do not have blisters nor sore soles. Overall these are a great product and I am happy to recommend them.

Es el segundo par que tengo. Me lo compré para no tener que intercambiar entre zapatillas de correr / pádel.Para mí, me van fenomenal porque me libera molestias en tobillos y rodillas.Mi sensación (no lo he medido) es que sube un pelín el drop, para mi estupendo.Corriendo debo decir que he notado alguna vez la superficie un pelo deslizante. No sé decir si es por el calcetín o por la plantilla.

Très bon produit, mais j'enlève une étoile car ce que j'ai reçu n'est pas le même que celui de la photo. J'ai reçu la nouvelle version, alors que la photo montre l'ancienne version dont la conception est différente. Je préférais la souplesse de l'ancienne, plus adaptée à ma foulée.

Aucune taille de notée lors de la commande, j'ai donc supposé que les semelles devaient être taillées à la bonne pointure... Sauf que j'ai reçu un 38 alors qu'il me fallait une taille 45.... Très déçue d'autant que je ne peux pas le retourner par mesure d'hygiène... :(
