Q: Will this product repair a scratch on the back of a mirror without having to redo the whole mirror?

Hello, thanks for your question. This depends on a few things. If the scratch is also in the glass itself then resilvering the piece will make the scratch more apparent because the new silver will be brighter. Also, you can re-silver just a section of a mirror but you will likely be able to tell the difference between the old silver and the new. Q: Can I use this solution to mirror the inside of a glass bottle?

Hello, yes you can use this Silver Solution to mirror the inside of a glass bottle. However we do not recommend that you use the Backing paint on the interior of a glass bottle. We do have a Blown Glass Mirror Kit that contains everything you would need for mirroring a glass bottle and it is also sold on Amazon. Thanks!

Q: Can you just do the black spots on the backside of the mirror or you have to strip the whole mirror

You can try to re-silver select areas of a mirror but this may not develop very well depending on the preparation of the surface and you will likely see a difference between the darker, old silver and the bright new silver. We have more detail about this in the FAQ section of our website.
