I wasn't happy that the liner was not well packed. It was in a large polythene bag and then secured with a lot of packaging tape. I think it should have been in a cardboard package to reduce the risk of malicious damage as anyone could have easily stabbed the package with a sharp object. There's no way of examining a liner before installation. Any damage would only show after filling with water and the whole process of replacing a lining would have to be repeated. Not a task I would relish

This does not appear to be a top quality pond liner but that is reflected in the very reasonable price. It has a long guarantee so the manufacturer must be quite confident in its longevity. We wanted a liner to go in our preformed pond which had developed a hairline crack so it did the job admirably - especially since they supply underlay to go underneath the liner. The liner was easy to lay - even with the contours of our existing pond making this a bit a trickier. It folded where required and we used waterproof tape to hold it down where we couldn't lay it outside the pond. The process was quite easy and it looks very good, having been installed now for a month or so.
