As I am new to pickling I thought I would get the right equipment for the job. I saw these pickle pipes and bought a few. They do the job and help keep the food covered during fermentation whilst at the same time letting out the air so no explosions, like when you do it manually lol. I’ve got the bug now so I’ll be buying more. They’re not too expensive and are good quality so I can recommend.

These airlock pickle pipes, not very good i found, the mason lid rings did not screw on two the jar making a airtight seal, if you can’t use them with a standard wide mouth jar ring what is the point in selling them, another wate of money straight into the bin.

Not very effective. They feel squishy and insecure when in use. The pickles went off! I shall revert to the kilner kit which does the job well.

I liked that they were all white not loud colours. Worked as promised.
