Push and Snap
I tried a Crema distributor/tamper but it was a hassle to use and inconsistent, when you have to recalibrate the depth when you change machine setting. This one is straightforward, push and snap!

Great tamper
Very nice tamper with great hand feel. It's pretty heavy, so it feels nice when using it. Also gives an audible "click" when you've reached the desired pressure weight. Cubes with another spring, but the 30lb spring is great. I have the whole astra collection so it's nice to have this match my pf.

Short travel distance
This tamper is almost great. It's downfall is it's short travel distance. So if you have a 20g basket, and your trying to pull an 18g shot this isn't going to travel enough for you hit the break, meaning it's not applying enough pressure to your puck leaving you primed for channeling.Other than that the tamper is great, I love the finishes and function, but I will be returning mine because it won't serve my deeper basket.

Nice but a little gimmicky.
Consistency is what it's all about when making espresso. The "click" concept is at first glance a nice idea but if you already have a feel for your pressure then it's unnecessary. Adding an extra spring is a good idea. I have the same on my Normcore, but having 2 options of either 30lb or 15lb is quite a drastic change. Seriously it would be wise to change the 15lb spring to a 25 or 20lb. However, click or no click it's a solid tamper. I have no thoughts as such on the ringed puck surface as I cannot really notice much difference in shots with this or a standard flat puck surface. Jury is still out on that one.
