Humax HDR-1100S Freesat + HD Box (WLAN & 1 TB m/Freetime)

I received the Humax freesat box on May 24th. All was well until today August 5th when the remote gave up the ghost. I noticed the remote became hot, then stopped working. I realize this is a reconditioned unit but do feel cheated, because without the remote the freesat box is useless and apearers to be out of any warranty. in conclusion, the box and remote cost me £199.00 and has proved to be a very expensive lesson about buying reconditioned electronics. NOT HAPPY!!!!!

Compared to my previous humax box this newer one is much less impressive. The sound between each channel differs. On the remote you have lost the “scheduled” button to see what you have set in your recordings if you have forgotten what you have set, so you have to scroll through all the epg. But the worse thing is when something is actually recording. I used to get notification on the screen on the box, and you could read on that screen if something is recording. Now it’s actually difficult to see as if something is recording because the faint blue light at the bottom of the box just turns slightly more purple, which if your eyesight isn’t great you have no hope of distinguishing! Definitely a step backwards in my own opinion!

Great product .. I now have three of these. All work perfectly. Excellent picture. Only issue is that the box can take 5 secs or so to switch on so you think it hasn’t and press the on / off again!
