How do I hook different sets together? Is there a connector piece to purchase?

The Train playset comes with a orange connector that is square shaped and has two so called female sides and two so called male sides. With this connector you can branch off into different directions. If you look at the Train palyset on Amazon you will see where the train is on the picture the orange piece of the track that I am referring to. This set come with 3 of the connection tracks that I am referring to. I hope this helps.

Will other go go cars "talk" on this set, i.e., would the dump truck talk on the police set?

I have various other gogo cars and they do "talk" on this set.I also have the garage and the police car would "talk" on that set.

do any of the go go cars move on there own or are they all push around

Or you can buy the go go smart speedway, which comes with one remote controlled car, and it would add more track to this set (all the go go smart connect to each other).
