I love this thing!
Absolutely perfect for western hunting as well as range days. It's relatively light weight for it's size so I don't mind packing it on trips and it's sturdy enough I'm not too worried about it. Overall the image quality is really good. I know there's better but this is remarkably clear at the price point. The brightness is exceptional at mid-day or in sunlight, at dusk it can dim out a little, but the clarity is still there so it works. If this is where your budget is, do not hesitate to get this, it's fantastic.

Great, but please think about the 50
Fantastic scope and affordable, 100% recommended, but hold on. I'm a birder, sometimes I go on hikes before I can get to a viewing place where I can set up, which means hiking, and a backpack. This scope is absolutely fantastic, but it's surprisingly huge, the pictures do not do it justice. I have the 12-36x50 and I use it more often because it's easier to pack. If you have a spot near your house, or want to look out the window, or if you won't stray too far from your car then get the big ones, no question. If you have a hike or size is a consideration then I think the 50 will suit best. Just my opinion, nothing more.

High quality!
Vortex optics are the best on the market. They have crisp clear imagery, the zoom and focus are smooth and firm. This spotting scope is a premium quality scope. It mounts to most camera stands really easy with the built in mount. It's a breeze to adjust the viewing angle. Great for bird watching. And you can't beat the vortex warranty
